Chapter 375
Eugene was proud and didn’t want to lose face in front of Cristina. “Of course.”
Theresa said, “I envy you guys. Alas… You only choose who you like and don’t care who she is, but I advise you to be careful. Your girlfriend is not someone you can handle.”
Eugene knew about the relationship between Cristina and Theresa and realized that Theresa was defending Cristina. He couldn’t help but sneer. Theresa was a little younger than him. He didn’t have to listen to her at all. “That’s not for you to worry about.”
Theresa said firmly, “But I’m in!”
Charlie frowned and handed her a hot towel. “Stop it.” He thought Theresa was targeting Eugene because Eugene was Pat’s brother–in–law and Rose’s uncle, but he didn’t want them to argue and had to stop her.
Theresa turned to look at Charlie, wiped her hands with the towel, and put it back on the plate. “I’m not kidding.” “I asked Eugene out for work. I don’t care what Cristina does, but you can’t be as childish as she is.” Charlie was actually being sarcastic about Cristina. After all, Theresa was the most important to him!
Cristina glared at Charlie.
Theresa knew Charlie was defending Eugene. “Can’t I talk to your guest?”
“You can talk about something other than his girlfriend.” Charlie didn’t think Theresa would say bad things
about Eugene’s girlfriend for no reason.
Theresa knew what Charlie was worried about. In fact, she wouldn’t interfere if it was someone else. She asked Charlie, “Aren’t you curious about who Mr. Oneill’s girlfriend is?”
Charlie’s face darkened and Jonathan’s mouth twitched. The temperature in the private room suddenly
dropped.
Jonathan asked Eugene, “Mr. Oneill, are you really in a relationship with Sarah?”
Eugene looked at Jonathan, confused.
Jonathan explained, “Sarah is Mr. Calsis‘ ex–fiancée. She dumped him and ran away because he broke his legs.” Eugene remembered the girl who had been following him and asked Theresa, “Is she really Sarah?”
