Jimmy watched how indignant she was and heard her mention how he was beaten last time. “I didn’t say anything about you. Why are you so angry when I said that about her? She wouldn’t

speak up for you.”

Theresa didn’t bother to talk to this scumbag anymore.

The elevator stopped and someone stepped out. Jimmy took a look at the floor number and

stepped out too.

When he got out, he thought Theresa would follow him out, only to find that he was wrong.

Theresa was still in the elevator. She closed it and went straight to the floor where Dick’s office

was.

Rawlins met her at the door.

He was excited to see her. “Dr. Cameron, I’ve been waiting for you. It’s so cold in the morning. Thank you for coming.”

Theresa was a little embarrassed. “You’re welcome. It’s my job.”

He had a completely different attitude from what he did last night.

When Rawlins guided her in the door, Theresa saw Dick sitting at his desk. Dick had a very

artificially intelligent kind of office with a stylish design. It was so warm that he only had a shirt on. He looked very languid and relaxed, not even realizing that he needed a shave.

Noticing her enter, he looked up with dark circles under his eyes. “Hello.”

Theresa said, “You didn’t sleep last night?”

Dick said, “I couldn’t sleep anymore after I slept for three hours during the day yesterday. What the hell? Come over and check on me.”

He was very agitated because he couldn’t sleep well.

He had managed to get a sound sleep for three hours yesterday. It was so rare that it seemed like the best day of his life. In retrospect, he still found it quite wonderful.

Theresa looked at the man and the corners of her mouth twitched. Dick was impatient, so she

didn’t say anything else and started to work straight away.

them came out of Dick’s office.

Rawlins looked at Theresa. “Thank you, Dr. Cameron.”

Theresa said, “My pleasure.”

Dick’s problem was nothing compared to the others.

They just chose her because she had cured Charlie. Theresa found it amazing.

a fortune.
