Charlie snorted. Warmth traveled from his fingers through her clothes. He said in a flirtatious tone, “I’m more than happy if you want to do the same thing with me as that night. However, I must take my children home.”

Theresa didn’t expect him to say such things to her, realizing he misunderstood her purpose of keeping the children.

She pushed his hands away. “Shameless bastard!”

“I am shameless,” Charlie said, “Of course, I cannot be comparable to Dick White. Then you should stop doing things to mislead me.”

“I’ve already hated you to the core.” Charlie gazed at her in anger. “Theresa Cameron, the thing I regret the most is misunderstanding you to be trustworthy.”
