Valerie overheard the remark and turned back to Colette with a sneer, delivering her answer. "Yes, having money does let you do as you please."

Hearing this, Colette turned pale with anger. She thought, 'It's true, I can't compete with her in terms of influence, but I'm still a member of the Lawson family. What's her deal?
