Sylvia said to the three kids, “Liam, Issy, Flint, Daddy and I are having dinner. You guys, be good boys and a good girl, and go to sleep early today. Mommy and Daddy will probably come home tomorrow.”

Flint agreed, “Mm-hmm, mm-hmm! Flint is a good boy!”

Isabel answered, “Mommy, we got it. You have dinner with Daddy.”

“Alright.”

Sylvia put the phone away with a smile. Although having a fever, she felt more energized than before and strongly believed she could recover tomorrow so that she could go home with Odell.

Meanwhile, at the Carters' residence, Liam, Isabel, and Flint were still in the game room looking at their phones.

While sitting in Liam’s embrace, Flint kept tapping on Odell and Sylvia’s chat.

Moments later, he looked up at his brother and asked, “Brother, do Daddy and Mommy love each other again?”

Liam pursed his lips and hummed a reply.

Isabel curled her lips. “Of course, they are lovey-dovey again.

Flint happily squealed. “Yay!”

Liam slightly widened his lips into a soft smile.

The thought of their parents making up and probably coming home tomorrow delighted them.

After a dreamless night, Sylvia woke up to the sun and started to plan her way home.

The moment she opened her eyes, Odell stuck the thermometer on her forehead.

Beep.

Sylvia looked at the numbers. 37.5º Celcius.

It was slightly high but was no longer a big issue.

Sylvia smiled at him and said, “Odell, I’m fine now. Let’s book the tickets home.”

He said, “We’ll go to the hospital again, and we’ll go back when you are completely fine.”

Sylvia said, “It’s fine. The fever will go down soon. Let’s just go home.”

She missed the kids.

Baffled, Sylvia asked, “Since when did you call for a ride?”

“Two minutes ago.”

Sylvia added, “Where are you taking me?”

“Lunch.”

“Where?”

“You’ll know when we reach there.”

Sylvia had no more questions. She assumed they were going somewhere with Michelin Stars and had a lighter menu.

The car finally stopped after a few turns.

It was indeed an expensive restaurant that served Italian food.

Sylvia was rather surprised. She looked at him.

He answered with a raised brow, “What’s wrong? Don’t like this?”
