Chapter 1505

Mathew’s eyes flickered nervously while Janine’s face.

turned pale. They did not expect such sharp insights from Sherry.

Matthew sat down on the couch and said with furrowed brows, “Sherry, I have to admit that we did you wrong before, but we Fowlers aren’t on the same level as the Stocktons. You saw what happened to your sister. I don’t want you to end up like her.”

“She’s not my sister. She’s a murderer who tried to kill me. She’s in jail because of attempted murder. It’s not because of the Stocktons,” Sherry reminded them sternly.

Although Shannon was deeply carried away by the fame and reputation of being Mrs. Stockton, the direct reason that put her behind bars was her attempt on Sherry’s life. Had she not tried to kill Sherry, she would not have ended up in jail.

Julie and Madam Stockton grew serious when they heard Sherry.

Julie said, Mother, I didn’t expect Ms. Fowler to defend us.”

Madam Stockton shared the same thought as well, but after listening to Julie’s words, she put on a frosty expression and said, She’s not defending us. She’s just

trying to argue with her father.

Julie pursed her lips.

Outside the living room, the man leaned on the wall as he continued to eavesdrop.

Then, Janine said to Matthew, “Cut the nonsense. She’s just a heartless girl! She doesn’t know what’s good for her!

Good for her?

Sherry rolled her eyes at Janine.

“Why did you do that for?” Janine noticed her reaction.

“Nothing much. I’m just disgusted,” Sherry said. She scoffed and then asked, “Don’t you think it’s disgusting?”

Janine’s face went pale.

A man with a slender figure then walked in. A long trench coat hung over his slender body, and a gray scarf wrapped around his neck warmly. He softly pushed his golden- framed glasses up as he walked in.

I hope I am not interrupting anything,he said with a smile.

Matthew and Janine bolted up and looked at John.

Matthew stuttered, “N–no. Not at all. It’s just that we haven’t seen Sherry for a long time, so we thought we’d visit.”

Matthew and Janine’s expressions went pale.

Matthew nervously said, “Master Stockton, it’s not what you think.”

John smiled and said, “Mr. and Mrs. Fowler, why don’t you two go back first?”

Matthew and Janine exchanged a quick glance nervously.

John then walked to Sherry and said to them, “Don’t worry. You can continue to develop in Glenchester. Nothing will change.”

The meaning of his words was obvioushe would stop Madam Stockton from interfering.

Matthew’s eyes gleamed with delight. Thank you, Master Stockton.

You don’t have to thank me. You should thank Sherry,John looked at Sherry deeply. I agreed to invest in your

company back then because of her, and I am letting this off the hook because of her as well.”
