Chapter 1663

Sherry told him, “Just a simple white dress.”

“In what style?” Carl approached her and smiled in a way only someone in love could. ” Could you wear it again for me to see?”

Any other time, Sherry would not entertain him at all and even ignore him, but since Lisal was right here with them, she could not brush him off condescendingly. She hesitated for a moment and told him, “I have a meeting later. I’m afraid I don’t have time to put on the dress for you to see now, let’s wait until next time.”

Carl frowned and let his frustration show.

Sherry did not think much of his response and headed toward the parking lot.

She was not lying as she had a meeting with a client in half an hour.

Carl hurriedly followed her.

Lisa followed behind them and watched the pair walk together. She smirked and murmured to herself, “What a little brat.”

They got into the car together.

Meanwhile, inside another car parked out of sight in the corner of the parking lot.

The man in the backseat was paying close attention to the trio that had entered the parking lot and gone to their car.

After Sherry got into the car, Carl invited himself into the car as well and sat right next to

her.

Lisa knew better than to crowd in the backseat with them and took the passenger seat

instead.

Shortly after, the car swerved out of the parking lot.

Nobody spoke inside John’s car.

Eventually, Jason informed in a low and careful voice, “Master Stockton, they’re leaving.”

John ordered with a tight frown, “Go back to the hotel.”

“Yes, sir.”

He promptly started the engine.

They drove a short distance and reached the hotel in no time.

John stepped out of the car and entered through the main entrance. He took the elevator

to the top floor where the presidential suite was located.

He flung the door open and walked in, already accustomed to the place. Immediately upon his entry, Caprice came running out of the bedroom.

She looked like she had just woken up, judging by how she was not wearing socks.

Aunt Wanda trailed behind her and called out after her, “Caprice, you haven’t put on socks

She rested her head against John’s and stopped pestering him with questions.

John took a deep breath, then he carried her into the bedroom.

Aunt Wanda handed him a pair of socks and shoes for Caprice, he patiently put them on for her.

After that was done, he gently patted her head and asked, “Caprice, do you want to go out and play?”

Caprice shook her head. “I don’t really want to go out.”

John was very patient. “What do you want to do then?”

Caprice knew what she wanted. “I want Mommy.”

John became silent.

Caprice sighed faintly and said, “I miss Liam too.”

John did not know what to say.

He reached for his phone.

Caprice immediately took the phone. She tapped through the contacts like she had done it

a thousand times and quickly found Liam’s contact so she could video call him.
