Chapter 1665

Caden and Aiden were left entirely speechless.

Their entire group was struck speechless.

Sherry continued stirring drama. “As for you, Ada, you’re not an employee at Sager Corporation and you’re not a part of our family either. What are you supposed to be? Stop barking at me, would you?”

Ada’s complexion went white. “Sherry, you… you…”

Sherry cocked an eyebrow. “What? What about me?”

Ada did not know what to say so she continued stammering for words like a fool.

All she could do was glare at Sherry and was entirely harmless otherwise.

Sherry was done squabbling with them. She turned to Aiden and Caden, both of them did not seem to be in a much better mood either, and bid them farewell crossly. “Alright, Master Sagers, we’re getting hungry so we’ll be heading in.”

With that, she gave her group a look and signaled for them to enter the restaurant with her.

They marched into the restaurant with her, all of them wearing bright smiles.

The interior of the restaurant was splendid. It was a very welcoming environment.

The staff had been waiting for them and the manager came up to greet Sherry as soon as she entered, “Miss Sherry from Sager Corporation, is that right?”

Sherry nodded confidently. “That’s right.”

“Please come with me, we have reserved seats for you on the second floor.” A crew of waiters parted like the Red Sea and invited the upstairs.

Sherry headed for the stairway with her group.

Just as she was about to cross the threshold up the stairs, she caught yet another familiar sight from the corner of her eye.

She turned to the familiar figure, unsure if her eyes were tricking her.

Seated by a seat next to the window was a tall man dressed in a crispy white shirt who wore a pair of gold-rimmed glasses. He leaned against the table and was staring at her.

The glow in Caprice’s shining eyes dimmed the moment she saw Sherry heading up the stairs. She looked like she was about to cry and asked in a sullen voice, “Why did Mommy ignore me?”

Tears began to swell in her eyes, a sour sting rose up her nose.

John looked just as sullen as well.

After a short silence, he took Caprice in his arms and did what he could to console her, Mommy must’ve been too busy to talk to us, don’t worry.”

Caprice held back her tears but was still rather skeptical. “Really?”

It seemed to her like her mother did not want to speak to her at all.

John smiled and reassured her. “Yes, I’m sure she’ll come down here and greet us later.”

Surely, she did not acknowledge their presence here because her employees were around her. She wanted to see them privately.

He was sure that Sherry had a soft spot for Caprice so she would not simply ignore Caprice.
