The moon cast its luminous glow on John’s face.

His aura took on a different form as usual. It was dark and gloomy, further accentuated by the cold gusts of wind that blew by, sending a cold shiver through his spine. The man. stood by himself, castaway, and left to fend for himself in the lonely night.

He silently crossed the road and entered the hotel lobby.

Aiden and Caden laughed at his expense.

“Mr. Stockton, have you made up your mind yet?” Aiden asked with a taunting smile, “Are you going to let her marry another man and say goodbye to her forever, or are you going to put an end to this farce with our help?”

John stayed silent for a while, then he looked at them with a destitute look. “Are you two sure you can help me?”

Caden immediately declared, “Of course, with the resources at our disposal, getting her back to your side is the easiest thing you could ask us for!”

Aiden agreed with a charming smile. “We’re men of our word. As long as you can drive a wedge in their engagement and prevent Sager Corporation from falling into Carl’s hands, I assure you that we’ll help you remarry Sherry no matter what.”

John contemplated for several seconds, then he asked, “How do you plan to achieve that?”

Aiden and Caden exchanged a smile with one another, then Aiden said, “Come, let’s go to the cafe over there and we’ll give you the details.”

At six in the morning, Sherry was woken up by the alarm clock she set.

She could not sleep in today even if she wanted to as she had an engagement ceremony

to attend.

Caprice was still sound asleep.

Sherry did not want to interrupt her sleep, so she silently tiptoed out of the bedroom and went to the living room. She was going to head outside and ask the bodyguard John had installed here to deliver a message to John and have him pick up Caprice.
