Chapter 1739
Sherry knew the girl was tired. She turned the tablet off and carried the girl onto her lap. She cleared her throat, signaling to the man further away
It was a sign for him to leave.
“Good night Sleep early,” he said before he walked out of the door
When the door closed, the living room once again plunged into silence.
Sherry pursed her lips and carried Caprice into the room.
After a dreamless night, Sherry woke up with Caprice and helped the girl clean up. They walked out of the room and saw John outside.
“Daddy. The girl extended her arms at her father
John carried the girl and said to Sherry, “I’ve found a Glenchester restaurant here, and they serve breakfast. Wanna go try
Sherry frowned She wanted to keep her distance from the man and reject his offer, but before she could, the girl agreed.
With her adorable voice, the girl said, “Yay! Mommy go! Caprice go!”
John looked at Caprice
Sherry’s eyes flickered. “If Caprice wants to go, let’s go.”
It was not her own will.
John smiled. “Okay.”
Sherry had no idea where the restaurant was, so John drove and she sat in the rear seat with Caprice. They arrived at the restaurant after a while.
It was quite crowded, but Jason was already there saving their seats.
Sherry and John sat down.
The restaurant served Glenchester-themed breakfast and it tasted delicious.
Sherry ate a lot, and even the girl’s stomach was bloated
After breakfast, Sherry wanted to leave for work.
A few traffic lights and turns later, they arrived at the Sagers’ building.
Sherry kissed Caprice on the cheek. “Caprice, Mommy is going to work. I’ll see you tonight.”
“Mm-hmm! Bye-bye, Mommy!” The girl kissed her back on the cheek.
Sherry put Caprice into the baby seat and then glanced at the man in the driver’s seat. She pursed her lips before she got out of the car
Her leg was better already but she still had to limp.
While she was making her way into the lobby, someone rushed towards her from the stone path outside the company.
Shocked, Sherry stopped limping.
Anne strode forward with her hand raised, seemingly trying to slap Sherry.
Sherry instinctively took a step backward.
“Sherry, you bitch!” Anne scolded her loudly and chased after her
