Chapter 1765
Sherry went to the bathroom to wash up before she went out.
When she opened the door, she saw the man dressing up in front of her. He had his pants on and was putting on his shirt.
The first light shone through the window and highlighted his slender and fit physique.
Sherry’s eyes widened.
John turned around at the same time.
Flustered, her eyes flickered. She bellowed, “Why are you dressing up now?!”
John replied with a smile, “I usually wake up around this hour to get dressed.” He buttoned his shirt as he spoke, covering his beautiful body underneath the shirt.
Sherry regained her calm and said, “Do not put on your shirt here.”
He asked, “Then, where should I wear my shirt?”
Sherry had no answer to his question. Her apartment was by no means huge. There was only a living room, a kitchen, and her own room.
Telling John to get dressed in the kitchen would not seem to work either.
A moment of silence later, she unreasonably said, “I don’t care. I don’t want to see you getting dressed.” She then went back into her room.
John smiled at the shut door.
She was obviously flustered and enjoyed looking at his body. It was just that she did not want to admit it just yet.
Sherry went to the bathroom to wash her face once more.
A while later, Caprice woke up. Sherry cleaned the girl up before bringing her out.
John was outside the door, well dressed. He had his golden-framed glasses on, adding a layer of gentleness to his enchanting eyes.
“Morning,” he said.
“Hmph! Ada Wright, we’ve barely even spoken and you claim that you like me? What do you see in me? My looks or my identity?” Carl was both amused and annoyed by her at the same time.
Looks?
Sherry reacted strangely when she heard Carl.
Ada looked at him sincerely and said, “I like you as a person!”
“If I were poor and ugly, would you still like me?” Carl asked.
Ada was stunned for a moment. She then nodded and said, “Yes! I like you no matter what you are or who you become!”
Carl rolled his eyes. He scoffed, “Your lies might only work on ghosts.”
He wanted to leave, but Ade stopped him once more.
Carl predicted her movement. He said to the security guard at the side, “If she still follows me, throw her out on the road.”
