The flight back to Glenchester was on the next morning.

After breakfast, Sherry and John brought Caprice, Jason, and Aunt Wanda to the airport. When they finished checking in, Sherry carried Caprice and was walking through security with John.

Suddenly, a ground staff came to her with a smile. “Hi, are you Ms. Sherry Fowler?”

Sherry was slightly surprised. “Yes, I am.”

The staff then handed her a small bouquet of flowers and a delicate-looking box. “Someone wanted me to hand you this. He wanted me to tell you to be happy.”

Looking at the flowers and the box, Sherry was slightly stunned.

Noticing her mother’s blank state, Caprice took the little box.

The staff then left.

Sherry looked at the flowers in her hands. It was a bunch of pink roses with a beautiful daisy in the middle. It was lovely.

Caprice then opened the box out of curiosity. Her eyes blinked in awe, and her jaw dropped when she saw what was inside.

Sherry looked into the box.

There was a diamond necklace inside. The pink diamond was carved into the shape of a beautiful rose.

“What is this?” The girl pulled out the little card hidden under the necklace.

Sherry wanted to take the card, but a big hand snatched it away first.

It was John who stood beside her. He had a glance at the handwritten words on the card. As his eyes narrowed and looked slightly gloomy, he pinched the card tightly and pursed his lips in silence.

Sherry saw the handwritten words on it as well.

“Sis, safe journey.”

It could only be from Carl.

How did he know when she would be leaving Coastrock City?

Sherry looked around. All she saw was bustling people and airport security, but Carl was nowhere in sight.

John carried her petite body and looked at her play with the flowers.

While the father and daughter were playing with the flowers, Sherry snuck her phone out and pulled up

Carl’s contact.

A moment of consideration later, she texted Carl.

“Thank you for the present.”

Maybe Carl did not have his phone with him, thus Sherry did not receive a reply.

She pursed her lips and texted him again.

“Carl, I hope you will find your happiness too. All the best to you and the company.”
