Chapter 1837
Caprice grinned. “Alright.”
Madam Stockton was pleased with her response. She motioned and said, “Come on, your parents
are home as well, they’re waiting for you.”
Caprice got into the shuttle car with her.
Several minutes later, they stopped at John and Sherry’s courtyard.
She got out of the car with Madam Stockton.
“Darling…”
She had barely stepped into the when a figure came flying towards her. She felt a pair of arms wrapped tightly around her and kisses were planted on her cheeks.
She groaned playfully, “Mom, I’m nineteen years old.”
The beautiful lady who seemed unfathomably young despite her age and was showering her with passionate affection was none other than Sherry.
Upon noticing Caprice’s reaction, she pinched her chubby cheeks and stated, “Caprice, I’m your mother. I don’t care if you’re in your sixties. You’re still going to be my darling daughter, and I’m still going to kiss you, got it?”
Caprice chuckled. “Got it.”
Sherry let go of her and ruffled her hair. Then, she looked around before asking, “Why are you alone? Where’s Liam?”
Madam Stockton asked in a puzzled voice, “Liam? Do you mean Young Master Carter?”
Sherry gave her a nod and turned to Caprice, hoping for an answer.
John had shown up as well. He stood next to Sherry and looked tenderly at their daughter.
Caprice answered frankly, “He’s gone.”
“Why did he leave?” Sherry was puzzled. “Didn’t you invite him to come in?”
Caprice explained, “He said he was coming here on a business trip, so he could give me a ride. I didn’t want to take his time.”
John made a look and remarked, “She’s not a child anymore. She knows what she’s doing.”
“Do you think she had a falling out with Liam?” Sherry speculated.
John laughed and brushed it off. “What kind of falling out? It’s not like they’re in a relationship.”
“Even if they’re not in a relationship, they’re still good friends. It’s not unheard of for friends to get into arguments.”
John did his best to convince her, “No, Liam wouldn’t argue with Caprice. I don’t think he’s ever expressive enough to get into an argument anyway.”
“Let me ask Caprice.”
“Don’t. Let her rest for a while.”
Sherry suddenly grew annoyed and asked crossly, “Don’t you want to see Caprice and Liam together in the future?”
Why was he being so obtuse?
