The door swung open as a servant hurried forward to greet the returning young master with a shout.

"Master Raymond, you're back."

Raymond quickly shifted his attention back to the newspaper he was pretending to read.

The Lynch family's butler, Seamus, was a sprightly seventy-year-old who commanded the respect of all the household staff. After all, it was Seamus who had arranged everything for them when they first arrived at the mansion.

Rumor had it that Seamus was an old acquaintance of the Lynch family patriarch, which earned him considerable respect, especially since the patriarch had passed away too soon.

Dustin nodded, raising his eyes to meet those of Raymond, who was lounging on the couch.

"Dad, have you found out anything about Mom?" His tone carried a hint of accusation as he personally fetched Brielle her shoes.

Brielle remained silent, her gaze resting on the eldest person present.

Seamus looked as sharp as ever, a testament to his shrewdness. He approached, first ensuring Dustin was unharmed, before addressing Brielle.

"Miss, it's good to see you back."

For some reason, Brielle couldn't shake off the feeling that Seamus might have had access to videos about her or even been manipulating her life from the shadows, sending shivers down her spine.

Yet, in Seamus's presence, she felt strangely confident, merely nodding at him before turning to Raymond.

Raymond had been eager to see her, but his son had insisted on him playing the tough guy, so he let out a cold huff.

"You're half an hour late. Come sit down, kiddo. I'm just as worried about your mom. I've sent a number of people out looking for her, and the lack of news is troubling."

Raymond's face darkened when he mentioned Sarah. His love for her was no secret. Ever since Sarah had become frail over her daughter's issues, Raymond had started grooming Dustin as his successor early on.

Sarah had been consumed with finding her daughter, a mission she had entrusted to Dustin even before he was of age.

But with Sarah missing for over two months, her whereabouts remained a mystery.

As Raymond spoke of Sarah, he inadvertently neglected his daughter, who was visiting for the first time. This wasn't his intention, as he had discussed playing out this scenario with his son beforehand.

The family gathered at the dinner table, but Raymond didn't inquire about Brielle, focusing instead on discussing Sarah's disappearance with Dustin.
