Inside the castle, Brielle felt a sudden urge to rummage through the cabinet for a first aid kit.

"This place has been deserted for ages. Any medicine in there is probably expired," King said, breaking her train of thought.

"Then I'll call a doctor over," Brielle suggested.

King wasn't a fan of outsiders in his domain, but he knew that rejecting medical help would blow his cover of pretending to be sick—possibly earning him a metaphorical slap in the face. So, he reluctantly agreed.

"Fine," he muttered.

He took the initiative and called his personal physician. Upon hearing it was a stomach issue, the doctor arrived with some highly effective antacids and disposed of the outdated meds.

"For severe stomach pains, take three of these, four of those, three times a day," the doctor instructed Brielle, noticing King clutching his stomach on the couch in apparent discomfort. He decided to administer a stronger dose.

"Give him this as well; it should work faster."

Brielle escorted the doctor to the door and asked for two bottles of vitamins before he left. King, lounging on the couch, was pleased to see her bustling around for his sake.
