Chapter 7

He knew these types of girls really well. Whenever he walked past girls, they only wanted to grab his attention. Just like she tried to do yesterday.

He was angry about how she accused his brother just because she saw she became the head Alpha's mate. He assumed she was up to Luna's position now.

"Bryan, what are you thinking?" His father, Harry Morrison, asked. He was walking back and forth in the room.

"Dad, relax."

"Relax? How can I relax? You brought the daughter of Moon Valley's Alpha here. What should we do now? What do you plan to do to deal with the situation?”

He frowned at his father. "Do you think I am afraid of the Alpha of the Moon Valley Pack?"

"What? I never said that."

"Dad, maybe you can be afraid of these types of things, but I don't."

"Brya–"

"I am a businessman. I only know the business. He was the one who proposed the marriage one year ago. In order to fulfill the terms of the alliance contract, I agreed to marry his daughter.”

"So now you will cancel the deal?"

"Never."

Harry was about to say something, but a knock on the door interrupted him.

"Come in," Bryan ordered.

A few maids entered the room. They were holding Sophia.

"What happened to her?" With a grimace on his face, Harry questioned.

"She was standing outside the whole night, so her legs became numb." One of the maids replied. Sophia told them so.

The maids bowed their heads and left the room. Sophia leaned against the wall for support so that she could stand up straight.

She lowered her head in response to the realization that Harry was also present there. She did not want to face anyone.

"Bryan, what do you want to do now?" Harry asked his son.

"Dad, I will let you know. You should go and take a rest now. It's already morning."

Harry wanted to stay and see what his son would do, but his son was very stubborn. However, he was mature enough to do anything. So Harry left the room, leaving Bryan and Sophia alone.

Sophia glanced at the closed door and then at Bryan.

After turning around from her, Bryan went to the nightstand and grabbed a packet of cigarettes along with a lighter. He took out a cigarette and lit it up. Then he walked to the window.

Sophia looked at his strong back. Even from behind, he looked powerful. There was no doubt that he was the head Alpha.

Bryan puffed on the cigarette and said,

"You have five minutes."

Sophia blinked a few times.

'Five minutes? Was I supposed to give a presentation at a meeting?’ She asked herself, but then shoved the thoughts away.

Then, she could not afford to waste her time. She cleared her throat.

"Bry–"

"Alpha"

He reminded her with a chilly tone.

"A-Alpha, I came here for my brother."

"What about him?"

"You fired him from his job. It's not an office, but a pack. He is your Gamma. Taking away his position from him was not fair. I jus–"

He turned around to interrupt her.
