Chapter 15 – Katharina Point of view

This is the day we've been waiting for. The whole day training yesterday was tough. I also didn't see the King in the palace. Maybe he's doing a lot out of the palace.

The battle field is now fill with the packs. The Queen and King is sitting at the King's Veranda looking at us. We are all in the back the stage they created.

The King is now giving her speech to all of us.

"Thank you everyone for coming today. I would to extend my happiness your support for the battle. This is only a one-day battle. The winner will be the Palace New Queen." He said. The crowd shouted, cheering their representatives.

"Everyone listen, I will give the first battle for this girl. Since the female fighters thought to use Bows and Arrows to protect themselves when they were younger. The first challenge is Archery!" The crowd get wild and shouting from their sit. "They need to hit the middle of the circle board. The first Ten fighters who successfully do it will proceed to the next challenge. So, females!!!! Good luck." Another shouting and cheering from the crowd.

I saw Alpha Duren with Beta Justin and some of the pack members in the bench. I look at the Omnirous pack and saw my Dad and brother together with our pack fighters.

They haven't seen me since I am the last to do the challenge. I wish my Dad will not make a scene and drag me out of the stage.

I need to focus now. The first challenge is the archery. We need to hit the middle of the circle board one kilometer away from us.

They are looking so serious in assessing their bow, I, on the other hand just standing there and sizing the appropriate position of my arrow since there is a change of wind blows in the field

A tiny smile lifted in one corner of my lips when I finally manage to determine the flow of the wind.

My mother thought me about this when I was seven. Since then I love to hunt using the bow since I can't shift yet.

We all have ten arrows in our hand. I just need one bullseye to pass this challenge. The King told me to fight and win this war, he wants me to prove myself that I am not weak like an omega.

All of them shoot right the target. Ruby is also done and it's my time to show myself on the crowd.

"Our last challenger, Katharina Omnirous of Alurious pack." Shouted by the announcer.

The moment I step out, the Alurious pack and Omnirous pack shouted for me. I look at my father who is now looking very shocked in my appearance on the battlefield and my brother almost jump and run to me if it wasn't hold by one of the guards in the palace.

This is not the time to think of them. I need to battle and win this game. I look at the King and he is looking at me also. His eyes really hold power to make my knees jelly.

'I can do this! I know I can. Mother will be proud if I do this, she's watching me.' I said to myself.

I look in the sky and assessing the wind once again, I position my arrow and look at the King eyes.

'King Zeus, I am not weak!'

I know he can read my mind right now.

I release my first arrow, everyone seems quiet when I release it without looking. The moment I heard the thud sound of my arrow, I turn and smile at the King.

Everyone shouted since it was my first attempt since some of the fighters took two to five arrows to win.

He smirks at me. That's all I need to get the arrow once again.

The announcer tells me that it's over but I want to prove the King that it's not luck.

I position the arrow once again and look into his eyes. I smirk to him also and release my arrow. Again it hit the middle causing the first one to break in the middle.

Feeling proud of myself. I turn around and throw the bow into the stage. I can feel his eyes on my while the crowd is cheering for me.

The announcer, announce the four female fighters who are eliminated and cannot continue the fight.

"The next challenge is running. All of you will run around the field three times. No shifting. No claws. No using of wolf strength. The King and Queen can sense if you use your wolf strength. The first six who reach the finish line will continue the next challenge. Girls, please position in your line." The announcer

I'm getting nervous about this. I know I am not the fastest and I didn't even have time to run with the pack. Only Sam trained me. I look at him and he smiles at me, giving me a warm smile saying I can do this.

"Ladies, ready.... and GO!"

I run as fast as I can but I can't reach the first spot. I look at the finish line.

I can do this..... I said to myself, but I see the King eyes looking at me.

I remember what he said. I am weak!!

But I'm not!

I am strong!

I can do this...

I saw some of them already reach the finish line I can do this, I don't need my wolf strength for this.
