"Leon Lu, what did you do to my mother?" Daryl's face became pale, glaring at Leon with eyes swollen in anger.

Leon looked handsome and neat with a suit on, but he could no longer hide his disgust towards Daryl.

He opened his thin lips and let out a smile that made people shiver. "Nothing, I just told her that I divorced you. I'm disgusted with you for having an affair with another man."

Daryl's pale face made him satisfied. "I also told her that I was going to marry Candida and asked her to come to our wedding."

How shameless!

Daryl trembled in anger. "Are you still human, Leon Lu? Don't you know that my mother has a heart problem? You could have killed her!"

"You're the one responsible for this! You forced me!" Leon's expression turned malicious. "I tell you. You either hand over that little bastard as soon possible, or you restore Candida's reputation and compensate for my loss. Do one of those and I won't let your mother die!

Last night, Leon dug up some information about the little boy, but found nothing of substance.

Whose child could this be?

Clenching her fists, Daryl yelled hysterically, "No way! Get out!" "Just a reminder. This is all on you." Leon let out an insensitive laughter. "I cut off your mother's medical fees. The hospital will kick her out after three days!"

Leon clearly knew that her mother meant so much to Daryl.

"Besides, don't you want to know whom I sold that child to? Don't try to play tricks on me. If you dare to do that again, you will never see your son again for as long as you live." Leon laughed grimly.

Daryl trembled in rage. She was stunned about what he said. "You know where Sam is?"

Her mother and Sam were the most important people in Daryl's eyes.

"My answer will depend on your performance."

"Give Sam back!" Daryl stopped Leon, unwilling to let him go.

"Fuck off!" Leon shook Daryl off impatiently and pulled her hair.

"What are you doing? Don't you make a scene here! This is an emergency room!" a doctor who passed by scolded Leon sternly.

Leon let Daryl go and threatened her before leaving.

As a businessman, Leon cared about his public image. The Lu Group was in trouble. He could not dare to discredit the company.

Daryl fell down on the chair awkwardly,

feeling as if she was stabbed with a knife in the chest.

Leon's threat struck through her word by word, if it were not for her mother and Sam, Daryl would kill Leon. But she couldn't get Benjamin involved.

After a long while,

the light of the emergency room went out.

"Doctor, how is my mother?" Daryl rushed to the doctor.

"Although she has been rescued, she has to stay in the ICU for observation. Don't irritate her again." The doctor escorted the patient to the ICU. The diagnosis sounded serious.

Looking at her unconscious mother, Daryl's heart was crushed.

"Mom, I'm sorry."

Jim, the butler, felt sorry for her. "Daryl, how could Leon bully you like that? I really didn't expect him to be such a spiteful person. What should we do next? We still owe the hospital medical expenses."

Daryl clenched her fists and bit her lips in rage. "Jim, thank you for taking care of my mother these past few days. If anything happens, please call me as soon as you can."

She sighed internally.

Back then, in order to marry Leon, Daryl decided to terminate the contract. Sofia was there to stop her, but Daryl didn't listen.

Now, it turned out Sofia was right. "Sofia, can I be in show business again?" Daryl bit her lips. She looked determined.
