In the hospital.
It was late at night. Zack usually slept in a light sleep, so when he heard the sound from Daryl, he woke up at once.
"No... Go away..."
Daryl must have had a nightmare. She frowned and murmured with fear. Her slender hands outside the quilt tightly grasped the bed sheet.
Zack walked to her and sat down next to her. He reached out his big hand to hold her slender hand and called her in a low voice, "Daryl?"
"Ah..."
All of a sudden, Daryl opened her eyes. Her heart was beating fast, and a thin layer of sweat appeared on her forehead because of fear.
"Did you have a nightmare?"
A familiar low male voice came to her ears. Daryl came to her senses. She turned to look at Zack and nodded slightly. "En."
"I..."
Daryl wanted to say what she dreamed of, but she moved her fingers and found that her hand was held by him. She forgot what to say for a moment.
"Your hands were moving randomly just now."
With a serious look on his handsome face, he loosened his grip and said, "I restrained it in case you make any noise. I'll get you a glass of water."
Then he stood up and went to pour water for her.
Looking at the tall figure of the man who stood up and left, Daryl's clear eyes flashed a trace of doubt. She raised her hand and looked at it. Was her hand really moving when she was sleeping?
Zack poured her a glass of warm water. She sat up and drank half a glass in one breath. She felt much better.
"Zack, I dreamed of Happy just now."
Daryl held the cup in her hand, lowered her eyes and said in a low voice with fear, "I dreamed that I really killed it..."
Although he had told her that the man just bought a prop on the Internet to frighten her, it still left an indelible shadow in her heart subconsciously.
"You think too much."
"Dreams and reality are the opposite."
"Really?" Daryl looked at him with confusion and innocence.
It seemed that a lost little girl took the man in front of her as her whole hope! As long as he said it was true, he could set her mind at rest.
Zack was a little embarrassed by her gaze. He cleared his throat and said, "I don't know. Benjamin said that."
"Okay."
Daryl looked away and thought, 'Is this guy so casual to comfort me?'
It seemed that she had to adjust her mood by herself. She said to him, "I can't fall asleep now. How about you go to bed first?"
Daryl didn't want to delay his work tomorrow.
However, Zack glanced at her indifferently. "You'll wake me up if you don't sleep."
"I won't make a sound!"
"I don't think so."
Finally, Daryl surrendered to Zack. She had no choice but to say with grievance, "Then turn off the light. I will sleep... HMM..."
Before she could finish her words, Zack turned off the light and kissed her on the lips.
"Mommy, I'm going to school."
Benjamin said obediently as he walked up to her with his schoolbag on his back.
"Okay. Be careful on the road, Bennie." Daryl smiled at him gently and touched his head.
"Okay, bye, Mommy."
After saying goodbye to Daryl, Benjamin went out of the ward to look for his father who was waiting for him outside.
"You get along well with the young master."
"People who don't know you might think you are mother and son."
Hearing this, Daryl pursed her lips and smiled faintly. "Bennie just wants a mother's love very much. Although he is a very smart boy, without a mother, his child's childhood will always be flawed."
"En." Sofia nodded and then asked, "Will the little crown prince always be here with you?"
"That's his plan." Daryl said helplessly, "Bennie wanted to stay here with me, so Zack stayed to watch him."
So the whole family lived in the hospital?
"In fact, I think you can really consider being with Zack. Anyway..."
Anyway, Bennie liked her so much, and Zack had never had a woman around him for so many years. Maybe she was destined to be with the father and son.
"Forget it."
Daryl shrugged and said, "Yes, I like Bennie very much, but his father..."
Maybe Zack was very kind to her. Although sometimes he was mean and liked to bully her, she didn't think she could see through him if he really wanted to spend the rest of his life with her. After all, this man was at the top of the food chain in the business world. What's more, he was the heir of the Ji family, a century old rich family. His status in D City was so high that she couldn't touch.
