Callum didn't waste any time. He shrugged off his jacket, slipped on a pair of boxing gloves, and with a confident stride, stepped right into the ring.

Everett tugged at the corner of his mouth, but his smile didn't quite make it to his eyes. He’d spent the entire afternoon in his office, and everything suddenly fell into place. There was no way Selena could have pulled off her escape alone; she had to have had some outside help.

Her uncle and brother hadn’t made any moves lately, and even if they wanted to help, they wouldn’t have the means. So, after mulling it over, the only one with the guts and capability to help had to be Callum.

Yet, right now, he wasn’t denying a thing, just owning it like it was the most natural thing in the world, which only stoked Everett's rage and jealousy even more.
