Selena raised an eyebrow, caught between surprise and expectation. She acted like Everett wasn't even there, focusing instead on helping Rhett to his feet. With a gentle touch, she brushed the dust off his clothes and asked softly, "You okay?"

Rhett, a guy who spent his college days on the court and in the gym, was in great shape. A fall like this was nothing—more of a bruise to his pride than anything else. Yet, he leaned into Selena’s shoulder, putting on quite the show. "Selena, I think I twisted my ankle. It really hurts!"

Selena looked genuinely concerned. "Sit down, let me have a look."

Everett couldn’t help but laugh, shaking his head. It was obvious to anyone that Rhett was faking it, but Selena was buying the act?

With a smirk, Everett called him out, "Rhett, you fell on your butt, not your ankle. If you're going to play pretend, at least make it convincing!"

Selena wasn’t a doctor, so she made a quick decision. "I'll get Holt to bring the car around and take you to the hospital."

Rhett blinked, "Sorry for the trouble."
