Before she got out, Holt asked anxiously, “Miss, are we really backing out of the deal with Jason? Losing this partnership will hit the BOSS hard. Maybe we should fill him in and brainstorm together?”

Blaine had put in a ton of effort to get a stronghold in Newport. Losing Newport would leave him with only Northtown, which was still in its infancy and not stable. It’d be like cutting off a limb, leaving a serious dent.
