Chapter 479
“W–What are you doing?”
Ann
At this point, Mackenzie was practically glaring at Emmanuel. Even though he
hadn’t done anything wrong, he withdrew his hand in guilt.
“Mackenzie, I was just helping you to soothe the discomfort.”
“You what?” She wouldn’t have suspected him if he didn’t say such words.
However, doubts began to grow within her after hearing his explanation.
Is there a way to clear my name? Emmanuel was rather helpless.
Mackenzie immediately sat up and covered her chest with both hands.
However, her slender hands could barely cover her ample chest. Her
attempts to cover them only managed to ensnare Emmanuel.
“Don’t worry, Mackenzie.” He then explained, “Tobias was the one who
removed your coat. Rest assured. I arrived just in time, and he hadn’t done
anything.”
To his surprise, she was worried about something else. “Why is my dress
torn?”
“Huh? It-” He was at a loss for words..
His response alerted her. Was he trying to fulfill the promise he made with
Grandpa? I can’t allow that! I won’t do it with an idiot like him, especially when
I’m passed out!
“Mackenzie, I didn’t tear your dress-”
Emmanuel’s explanation was cut short when the sharp–eyed woman looked
at his belt.
Damn it! He belatedly realized that a piece of fabric from her dress was
clipped between the buckle of his belt.
“How do you explain this?” Mackenzie stared at Emmanuel coldly.
I thought he was better than this. But denying his doings?
She looked down further, only to find that even her pantyhose and lingerie
were showing.
Her mouth hung agape at his words. –
So, he did have some perverted thoughts, huh? Tobias is better than him.
Emmanuel slapped himself. I should’ve been frank with her. Now I made
myself a pervert. It’s embarrassing.
Mackenzie was a perceptive woman. Emmanuel’s dull demeanor was solid
evidence that he didn’t have the guts and thoughts to make a move on her
when she passed out.
Mackenzie finally remembered the point of the meeting today, so she asked,
“Emmanuel, what happened to Tobias?”
She was curious to learn Emmanuel’s reaction after he found that Tobias had
attempted to make a move on her.
