Chapter 13 

“Oht Who is it? 

“Mr. Franco. The person on the other end of the line didn’t dare to call Charlie by his first name 

When Nicole heard this, she was slightly stunned. “Charlie?” 

“Yes!” 

“Why would he go to Imperial Estate? 

It seems that he is here to see an apartment with someone!” 

“It’s impossible for Charlie to go directly to the sales center. He rarely appears in public” 

“He went straight to the VIP room, but he brought a woman with him this time. The woman is dressed in rags, and a few salesmen in the sales center didn’t know that she was here with Mr. Franco. They ended up offending her!”

The sales director handed a few floor plans to Charlie nervously. Without even looking at the floor plans, Charlie handed them to Kamryn directly, Kamryn took the floor plans and studied them hard, but she couldn’t see anything from the plans. 

“How can I read a floor plan?” 

The director said flatteringly. “There is a show house in the sales center. Mr. Franco, Miss Ramsey, if you don’t mind, I can take you to the show house to have a look in person!” 

Kamryn was hesitant. “Uh… 

Charlie said, “Okay,”

Kamryn gave him a sidelong glance. Her smile looked strained. 

What should she do? 

She had a feeling that Charlie was going to buy an apartment for her! 

That was what her intuition was telling her. 

However, Charlie never said clearly that he was buying an apartment for her. What if he was buying one for himself? So she couldn’t refuse. Wouldn’t that be embarrassing for her to have such wishful thinking? 

But if Charlie was buying an apartment for himself, then why did he bring her along with him? 

She couldn’t bring herself to ask him “Chuck, are you buying an apartment for me?“ 

That would be extremely awkward 

The director stood up to lead the way, and Charlie

The father and son were in a deadlock for a long time before Eugene finally gave in. He leaned on Charlie’s shoulder with grievance and looked pitifully at Kamryn with his big puppy eyes, which were filled with tears.

Charlie turned slightly and glanced at her. Before he could say anything. Eugene, who was in his arms, was already squirming towards Kamryn. He reached out to grab her as he “turned against his father. 

Charlie didn’t even have time to let go before the boy started pouncing into Kamryn’s arms impatiently, kicking Charlie repeatedly in the stomach with his short little legs

Kamryn broke out in a cold sweat and took Eugene over in a hurry. Eugene seemed relieved to have finally escaped from the abyss of misery. He wrapped his arms around her neck happily and rested his head on her shoulder. He seemed to be extremely close to her. 

As Eugene’s father, Charlie couldn’t help but feel that he was being despised. 

In the eyes of outsiders. Kamryn looked more like Eugene’s biological mother!

Kamryn walked in front, with Charlie behind her. With his head on Kamryn’s shoulder, Eugene had finally quieted down and stopped squirming. He looked like a tarned puppy. 

Kathryn wasn’t tall. She was only about the height of Charlie’s chest.

Kamryn could easily imagine how beautiful it would be to stand on the balcony and look at the view of the city at night. 

The whole apartment was decorated in a luxurious but simple style. The size of the kitchen alone was comparable to the rented apartment that Kamryn was living in before. 

“It’s so big. 

It was not that Kamryn had never lived in a big house before. 

The Ramsey family used to live in a big villa of more than 500 square yards, but… 

Compared with such a luxurious apartment, one couldn’t help but feel that whoever was living in the big villa was somewhat stingy. 

This was what a mansion should look like! 

Eugene was obviously deeply attracted by such a luxurious apartment. He held Kamryn’s hand and walked toward a bedroom on the north side. The master bedroom was a huge suite with a bedroom, a study, a separate bathroom, a walk–in closet, and a French window facing south. Opposite it was a huge Ferris wheel, and the tallest sightseeing tower in the world, which was a landmark building in the city center. 

Before Kamryn had time to have a closer look, Eugene led her to the secondary bedroom out of curiosity. 

The secondary bedroom was a very cozy children’s room. The most amazing thing in it was a nearly 10–foot–tall tree house made of hardwood. Eugene looked at it for a long time, turned around, tugged at the corner of Charlie’s suit gently, pointed at the tree house, and whined softly. 

Charlie squatted down and pinched Eugene’s check gently. “This will be your room from now on, okay!” 

Eugene nodded. Then, as if he had realized something, he looked at Kamryn and then at Charlie with a slight frown.
