Chapter 3 

There were many people in the crew. 

As Kamryn had lost too much blood, she was dizzy. Fortunately, she managed to stuff in some biscuits and milk on the way. Otherwise, she would have fainted long ago. 

Just as the crew was getting busy, Kamryn approached Dante Garrett to let him know she was there “Dante, sorry Em late 

Dante was the director of the set and was also in charge of assigning assistants. When he saw how pale Kamryn looked, he was shocked. “What happened to you?” 

“I was at my body check! There are so many people in the hospital that it took a long time for the report to be ready!” 

“You are so late. I thought you wouldn’t come. I was already planning to get someone else to do your job!” 

“I would never skip this opportunity!” 

Kamryn expressed her eagerness in a hurry. I really need this job!” 

As she spoke, she stuffed a pack of cigarettes into Dante’s pocket. “Dante, I’m really sorry. Please forgive me!” 

Dante smiled then “Alright, I got it. I’ll assign you to someone easy to work with later!” 

“Thank you!” 

Kamryn smiled. As soon as she calmed down, a light laugh came from behind her. 

“Kamryn, is it really you?” 

Stunned, Kamryn turned to look behind her back in disbelief. Sure enough, she saw Jenna standing in the crowd. She was wearing Chanel Haute Couture and was the center of attention. She looked indescribably noble. 

The two of them faced each other. Kamryn was in a sorry state, while Jenna looked like she was having the time of her life. It was such a stark

The smile on Kamryn’s face froze. 

“What’s wrong? Are you not working as an HR anymore? Are you working as a small assistant in the crew?” 

The words “small assistant” that came out of Jenna’s mouth sounded particularly belittling. 

Kamryn gritted her teeth. 

She didn’t know how Jenna found out about where she was working as an HR before. Regardless, it didn’t take long for Kamryn to be fired eventually. 

The Ramsey family was not that powerful. However, Jenna had been in the entertainment circle for many years and could be regarded as a big shot. Coupled with the power of the Sexion family, Jenna indeed had some tricks up her sleeve.

Kamryn frowned. Just as she was about to ask Dante to transfer her to another crew, Jenna blocked her way suddenly. “Why are you in such a hurry

work for me!”

To serve Jenna… 

She actually wanted an assistant to serve her! 

Kamryn gritted her teeth hard in anger. 

“No need!” 

“I can double your salary!! 

Kamryn sneered, “I don’t care! 

Jenna looked at her for a while and smiled suddenly. “Fine! I’d like to see which unlucky boss you’ll end up working for!” 

As she watched Jenna leave. Kamryn felt her blood boiling from anger and her vision blurred. She reached out to hold onto something but only grasped at thin air.

The back of Kamryn’s head hit the ground. She blacked out and lost consciousness. 

“Mommy… 

“Let me hug mommy so it doesn’t hurt anymore 

In the darkness, a soft voice breathed into Kamryn’s ear, 

Then, a small hand gently rubbed the corner of her eye. 

“Mommy, don’t cry…… 

Kamryn’s head felt heavy. She opened her eyes wearily, and could vaguely make out a cure little face in front of her. 

The boy looked a Inde familiar. He seemed to be the boy who was in critical condition in the emergency room earlier. 

When the boy saw that Kamryn had woken up, his beautiful eyes flickered, and he wrapped his arms around Kamryn’s neck happily, 

“Mommy…! 

His sweet but trembling voice stunned Kamryn. 

Mommy? 

Why was the boy calling her… Mommy? 

While Kamryn was at a loss, a deep voice came from beside her. 

“You’re awake? 

She looked in the direction of the voice and saw a man sitting steadily in a chair by the window on the right side of the bed. Even though he was sining, it was easy to see how tall this man must be as he could block the sunlight coming in from the whole window just by sitting there. 

With his back to the window, half of the man’s delicate face was hidden in the slusdow. His eyebrows were well–defined, his eyes were cold, and there was a slight smile on his thin lips. 

There was no doubt that he was the one who had spoken just now 

Kamryn studsed his face. The man looked around 27 or 28 years old, yet his voice sounded mature, deep, and calm. 

Kamryn’s gaze shafted from his face to his pair of long legs, which he had crossed elegantly and casually. Even though he was just sitting in the ward, he gave people the impression that he was in the middle of a business negotiation. His presence was astonishingly hard to ignore!

“Saving your son!” 

Kamryn hesitated for a moment. She turned to look at the boy, and then back at the man. Finally, she understood
