Chapter 8 

He knew that Kamryn couldn’t open the door, but he still knocked on the door and asked her to open it. 

Kamryn turned off the tap and got dressed hurriedly. Outside the door, Winston continued to urge her to open the door in a careless manner, 

At first, he wanted to take a chance and even tried to twist the doorknob. Fortunately, Kamryn had the habit of locking the door every time she took a shower. If it weren’t for the lock, Winston would have successfully gotten into the bathroom! 

Seeing that the door was locked, he was annoyed and pounded on it even harder. He acted like a predator waiting to pounce on its prey as he urged Kamryn to open the door. 

There was a piece of frosted glass on the bathroom door. From a distance, Kamryn saw Winston’s face pressed to the glass as he tried to peek through it at her in the bathroom! 

She wasn’t stupid. How could she not know what he was really there for? 

During the day, all the other tenants were out working, leaving only Kamryn at home. 

How could Winston not know that? 

It was obvious that he was here for Kamryn, and collecting rent was just an excuse 

Fortunately, he couldn’t see clearly through the frosted glass. As Kamryn put on her clothes, Winston began pounding on the door again 

In the end, she could even hear him panting through the door. 

He was running out of patience! 

He was also a hot–blooded man. When he imagined Kamryn naked in the bathroom, he couldn’t help feeling excited. 

Kamryn did not dare to open the door. She hid in the corner behind the door and looked at the door shaking with Winston’s every pounding. She was close to breaking down, for fear that the door would not hold and he would then break in 

Fortunely, he failed in the end 

In a panic, Kamryn pretended to call the police, which scared away Winston, who almost lost control of himself. 

Kamryn didn’t dare to come out of the bathroom for a long time that day, even after he had left. 

In the past, she was once the well–respected daughter of the Ramsey family. After being kicked out of the family, she had been struggling to survive like this for more than five years. 

Although she had gotten used to it, she still felt humiliated. 

Especially when she saw that the frame of her photo with her mother was shattered in pieces, she finally broke down. 

“You… you don’t have any proof the landlord resorted with her face flushed red 

Kamryn sneered, “I recorded everything. Do you want to see it? If you think I wronged your son, we can go to the police station to talk things out!” The landlord was rendered speechless. 

With his eyes looking slightly stern, Charlie’s voice was as cold as ice as he asked, “Is that true?” 

The landlord didn’t know what to say. “1…” 

Curlie pursed his thin lips and said suddenly. “No scumbag like that should be working at Glorise Consortium. 

“Got it, Mr. Franco. 11 instruct the 11 Department to handle this matter and fire Winston Holder immediately 

The Landlord was shocked “Who are you?” 

Alin didn’t even look at her, thinking that talking to scumbags like the landlord was beneath him. He walked up to Kamryn and comforted her. “Miss Ramsey, don’t be scared. We will handle this matter properly!” 

As he spoke, Alan took the photo frame from her arms. When he saw the photo, he was slightly shocked. 

In the photo, there was a young girl and a woman.

The girl was smiling sweetly. Alan recognized her immediately as Kamryn when she was younger. 

He also recognized the woman too. She was Selena Ramsey, the former wife of the head of the wealthy Ramsey family

many wealthy families in the country. Everyone knew that Kamryn, the daughter of the Ramsey family, cheated on her fiancé and got pregnant before marriage. She was then kicked out of the Ramsey family. It was no secret among the upper–class community. 

At first, when Alan learned that the woman who had saved Eugene was called Kamryn too, he just took it as a coincidence. Shockingly, Kamryn was indeed the “Kamryn Ramsey” who was the shameless woman who had cheated on her fiance before marriage. 

The expression on Alan’s face changed. 

“What’s wrong!” 

“No nothing” 

The landlord stepped forward again. “Who the hell are you!” 

Alan turned around and motioned for the two bodyguards to drive the landlord away immediately. 

Before the landlord could ask any more questions, she was asked to stay a few yards away from Kamryn and the others. 

“Miss Ramsey, this way, please! Mr. Franco has something to discuss with you.” 

Alan motioned for Kamryn 10 come forward. 

A black Bentley limousine was parked at the gate of the community Kamryn lived in 

The community she lived in was a well–known slum in the city. There were all kinds of people living in it. The community was built 20 years ago, and the luxurious car seemed out of place in a community like this. 

As soon as Kamryn got in the car after the door was opened, she saw a boy sitting nicely in the back seat.
