Amber was surprised and hesitant.

She knew she should stay away from the people who had hurt her mother in the past.

However, the kitten was still inside, and Kayden was also very kind.

For a moment, she wasn't sure if she should enter Brian's house.

Kayden enthusiastically extended his hand and urged, "Come on. I'll hold your hand!"

Before she could respond, he took her inside.

Meanwhile, the bodyguards assisted Brian inside.

Seeing this, Amber could only go along with it.

She reasoned it was pointless to overthink things right now. Since she was already inside, she should find the kitten first.

The two little ones began searching the courtyard.

Kayden asked as they looked for the kitten, "Is the kitten yours?"

Amber shook her head and explained, "No, it's a stray. It has milk-white fur, is very cute, and is tiny. I saw it this morning and even bought it some cat food, but it got scared halfway through eating and ran off. That's why I came looking for it."

Kayden nodded. "Oh, I see."

They continued chatting while searching the yard.

But after searching the whole area, they couldn't find it at all.

Amber frowned. "Where did the kitten go? How come we can't find it anywhere?"

Hearing her disappointed tone, Kayden tried to comfort her. "Maybe it already ran out. Don't worry, we'll find it!"

Amber thought that would be the case and agreed. "The kitten is timid. Maybe it ran back to the spot where I first found it."

With that in mind, she turned to Kayden and said, "If that's the case, I'll head back now."

He nodded and was about to agree when Henry walked over.

"There's no need to look anymore. The kitten's inside the house!"

Upon hearing this, Amber's eyes lit up and she rushed into the house.

Kayden hurried after her.
