Charlotte wasn't interested in being dragged into Brian and Lydia's drama. She kept her attitude strictly professional, barely speaking beyond what was necessary.

Brian noticed the chill in her demeanor but didn't think too much of it. He simply assumed she had a bit of an unpredictable personality.

The silence lingered until the session ended.

Once Charlotte had finished with the acupuncture, she said, "The medication and treatment should stay the same as before. And just so you know, I don't like being disturbed during treatment.

"Please make sure nothing like tonight happens again. If any mistakes happen because of interruptions, I won't be held responsible for any serious consequences."

Brian nodded calmly. "It won't happen again."

Charlotte didn't say another word. She quickly packed up her things and left the guest room.

Once Brian had dressed, Henry helped him out of the room. Outside, Liam, Estelle, and Lydia were still in the living room, waiting.

Charlotte glanced at them as she came out, but didn't seem to have any intention of greeting them. She was ready to leave without a word.

But before she could walk out the door, Lydia stood up and blocked her path.

Charlotte frowned, and irritation flashed across her face. "Do you need something?"

Catching the sharpness in Charlotte's tone, Lydia felt a surge of anger but restrained herself, knowing that Liam and Estelle were watching.

"I'm sorry. I didn't realize you were Dr. Mandy. My ignorance led to my rudeness, and I truly apologize if I offended you. I hope you can forgive me.

"Going forward, Brian's treatment will still depend on your expertise. If there's anything you need, please let us know."

Charlotte could barely hide the disgust off her face. She saw right through Lydia's act—pretending to apologize while putting on a show for the Norman family.
