Pamella let out a small breath, her fingers brushing against the fabric of her dress as she turned toward the crowd. “We should just open the door,” she said, loud enough for those around her to hear.
A few guests hesitated, but then as if on cue, the muffled sounds from inside the restroom grew louder. The noise–low, breathy, and unmistakably suggestive–sent another wave of murmurs through the gathered onlookers.
Pamella smirked.
“Oh dear,” she said, her voice carrying through the hallway. “That doesn’t sound right, does it? Who could do something so shameless in a place like this?”
Heads turned. More guests stopped to see what was happening. The hum of quiet whispers grew into something closer to hushed gossip.
Just then, a member of the housekeeping staff hurried over, a keyring clutched tightly in his hand. He looked between the gathered guests, his expression uneasy. “I–I have the master key,” he said.
Calen, who had been watching Pamella closely, felt a knot of suspicion tighten in his chest. She was too eager. Too interested.
“This is getting out of hand,” Calen muttered. Then he raised his voice, addressing the crowd. “We should call security first. Or the police.”
A few guests nodded in agreement, but Pamella turned toward him smoothly. “And what if someone inside actually needs help?” She gestured toward the door, her brows lifting slightly. “Wouldn’t it be worse if we just stood here and did nothing?”
Calen narrowed his eyes.
She didn’t wait for an answer.
Before anyone could stop her, Pamella stepped forward and snatched the key from the housekeeper’s hand. With a quick twist, she unlocked the door and pushed it open.
The door swung open.
Inside, the dim lighting of the restroom cast soft shadows against the tiled walls. Near the sink, a man was pressed against the counter, his hands gripping the waist of the woman in front of him. Their lips were locked in a deep kiss, bodies impossibly close. The rustling of fabric and the sound of hurried breaths filled the air.
For a moment, there was silence. Then a collective inhale from the onlookers.
Pamella’s eyes widened as she took in the scene. Her gaze snapped to the woman–her back turned, her dark hair cascading down her shoulders, the familiar silhouette unmistakable.
Isabella Rossi.
Pamella’s lips curled in triumph.
“Well, well,” she said, stepping forward. “Isn’t this just… unbelievable?”
The sound of her voice shattered whatever trance had settled over the crowd. More murmurs rose behind her, some shocked, others barely containing their amusement.
“Miss Rossi, how could you do something like this?” Pamella continued, shaking her head as if in disappointment. “At an event like this? Do you have no shame?”

Chapter 171
Calen stiffened beside her. His stomach twisted at the scene, but something felt wrong.
Pamella’s voice carried through the hallway, and the murmurs turned to full whispers. The growing crowd shifted, people exchanging glances, some leaning closer for a better look.
Calen exhaled sharply and stepped forward. “That’s enough,” he muttered under his breath, reaching for the door.
Pamella’s arm shot out, blocking him. She met his gaze, her expression challenging.
“What are you doing?” she asked.
Calen’s jaw tightened. He lowered his voice. “You need to stop this.”
Pamella scoffed but didn’t move. The hushed voices around them only grew louder.
Then, finally, the woman inside turned..
The moment Pamella saw her face, her smirk faltered.
It wasn’t Isabella Rossi.
The woman was a minor actress–one Pamella vaguely recognized from small roles in TV dramas. The man was more recognizable, a well–known actor whose films had recently gained international attention.
Pamella’s fingers twitched slightly at her side.
Shit.
Calen didn’t waste another second. He stepped in front of Pamella and reached for the door again, but she held firm, her fingers gripping the edge.
“Move,” he said, his voice low.
Pamella hesitated, then let go, lifting her chin slightly as if conceding.
With a sharp click, Calen shut the door, blocking the scene from the public eye. But the damage was already done.
Pamella exhaled softly before turning back to the gathered crowd. The tension in the air was thick, the scandalous energy palpable. Whispers continued; expressions ranged from amusement to judgment.
And then, with practiced ease, Pamella changed course.
Her fingers lightly smoothed the fabric of her dress as she looked around. “I believe we’ve seen enough,” she said, her words deliberate. “This is a highly private matter after all. It is only right that we keep this to ourselves.”
She reached for the door handle again, this time pressing it closed with finality. “It would be best if we respected their privacy.”
A few people exchanged glances.
Pamella placed a hand over her chest, sighing as though burdened by the weight of responsibility. “Gossip can be cruci,” she continued. “We wouldn’t want to ruin someone’s reputation over a simple mistake.”
Her words settled over the crowd like a well–placed net. Some nodded in agreement. Others hesitated but didn’t object.
“My… this looks like a fun assembly. Can someone tell us what is going on?”
Izzy’s voice immediately broke the silence. Everyone turned toward Izzy as if they had seen a ghost.

Pamella froze.
Her fingers twitched against the fabric of her dress as she turned sharply toward the voice.

Izzy stood near the edge of the crowd, her expression calm–curious, even–as she glanced around. Her posture was relaxed, completely unaffected by the tense atmosphere hanging over the gathered guests.
“What are you doing here?” Pamella asked, her words clipped as she took a step forward.
Izzy tilted her head slightly. “I was with Mr. Horvath,” she said simply. “Then I thought I heard someone call my name. I noticed the crowd, so I came over.” She glanced around, feigning innocence. “Did someone call me?”
