Chapter 144
“What do you mean by that, Uncle Clark?!”
Irene was outraged.
“Oh, nothing! I was just saying that someone useless like you will find someone else who is just as useless!” Clark West said sarcastically.
It was no secret that the two branches of the West family were always at odds. The idea of having Irene married to Trevor to save the family was also Clark’s doing.
Irene had lost her father when she was very young. In the years after that, she and her mother had suffered a lot of abuse from Clark and his family.
“Uncle Clark, you’re going too far!” Irene looked furious.
“What? Am I wrong?” Clark scoffed. “What have you managed to accomplish throughout the years? A woman leading a family! What a joke! The only way you can contribute to the family is by marrying into the Aquila family! But you keep running off every few days. We won’t let this slide if you ruin the marriage alliance with the Aquila family!”
Irene was enraged, but she did not want to vent her frustrations here.
“Just look at who you found for help.” Clark pointed at Dustin disdainfully. “Do you think this punk can defeat Samuel Manson, the Terminator? Forget Samuel, I can probably kill him with just a slap!”
“Oh? Do you think so?” Dustin said before Irene could speak. His voice sounded threatening.
He did not care that Clark was insulting Irene, but he could not allow himself to be insulted here.
“What? Unhappy about my comments?” Clark eyed Dustin tauntingly.
He thought that he could badmouth Dustin because he looked so young, especially since he did not have a fighter’s build.
“If you really have the skill, let me see some of it!” Clark said challengingly.
“Sure!” Dustin said coldly.
He made his move.
The only thing the members of the West family saw was a blurry figure.
Clark’s face froze. Before he could react, Dustin’s fist pummeled into his face.
The punch made Clark’s face twist in pain. He was thrown backward. While still in the air, he spat out a mouthful of blood.
The members of the West family were shocked.
Although Clark was not a very powerful fighter, he was not weak either. He was a sixth grade fighter and had a decent reputation in Lannopolis.
Yet, he had been punched so hard that he went flying despite his grade. He had not even had the chance to defend
himself…
The youngster that Irene had brought home had to be at least in the eighth grade!
It was rare to find someone in the eighth grade at such a young age in all of Lovellia.

Chapter 144
Irene was shocked at how strong Dustin was. But she felt vindicated.
Although she did not know much about the grading system among fighters, she felt relieved. She had been worried about bringing Dustin home, but it seemed that she had found the right person.
Clark flew so far that he landed on the ground in the yard outside. When he finally dropped to the ground, his face was pale, and his eyes reflected with shock.
Dustin was far more powerful than he had expected.
It was humiliating that he had been defeated by a youngster in just one strike.
