When Dustin looked at the person, his gaze grew serious.

“Irene!”

His eyes narrowed.

The person Bianca had brought here was Irene West.

She was tightly bound in thick ropes, and two people held knives to her throat. They forced her to move forward.

Irene was bruised all over. It was clear that she had been manhandled.

“Dustin, I’m sorry. I drove to the school this morning to collect some documents, and they got me halfway there…” Irene said guiltily.

She thought that she had got Dustin into trouble by getting herself caught.

Dustin’s face darkened.

He had never expected Bianca to make a move against Irene.

After all, he was not really very close to Irene.

If Bianca wanted to blackmail him, she should have abducted a member of the Langley family.

Dustin raised an eyebrow.

He did not think that the Verdigris Emerald was worth much. As for Phoebe and Aaron, they had been the ones looking for trouble in the first place.

However, he could not let Irene die here.

“What do you want?” Dustin asked calmly.

“What do I want? Are you softening up now? I thought you had more spine than that! In the end, you lose because of a woman. Dustin! Oh, Dustin! You’re not that great after all!” Bianca said mockingly.

Her gaze sharpened.

Dustin’s face turned terrifyingly cold.

Usually, he did not care or feel anything for anyone. But Irene’s action had shaken him to the core.

Bianca looked panicked. She dropped her knife and stumbled back in shock.
