Under the intense barrage of gunfire, smoke billowed into the air.

Elisa ran away because the soldiers were firing indiscriminately.

Under the rain of the bullets, everyone was equal. Even though she wore bulletproof gear, it would still hurt if she got shot.

Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!

The sound of gunshots drowned everything out. She could neither see nor hear anything.

The soldiers fired for a few minutes till they emptied their magazines. While they changed to another magazine, bullets finally stopped raining down in the shopping mall.

The gang leaders were either injured or dead. They were either groaning or bleeding all over the floor.

They had chosen to submit to Elisa, but they were still shot at.

As the smoke cleared, Elisa looked everywhere for Dustin and his group.

They were not among the corpses on the floor.

When she looked in another direction, she was shocked.

What was that?

She could not believe what she was seeing.

Dustin stood in perfect shape. The woman beside him and all the others from Hell Hall were also unscathed.

“That’s… impossible…” Elisa’s voice trembled.

The submachine and machine guns from the second floor had practically destroyed everything on the first floor!

How could they still be standing?

Were they even human?

Elisa did not notice the bullet shells around Dustin and his group. Smoke was still rolling off of Myst’s knives.

“Mr. Chad, have someone escort me out of this place!” She held onto a last shred of hope. She gave an order to Chad.

She wanted to leave this place and tell her sisters about everything that had happened here so that Amara and her mother could do whatever it took to take Dustin down. She would make sure they knew about this so that they did not look down on him or consider him the same person of the past.

Chad stood on the second floor with a stony face.

“I’m sorry, Miss Elisa, the Chandler family will be cutting ties with the Wyatt family. We will no longer serve you nor listen to any of your orders,” he said grimly.

Elisa’s face stiffened.

“You’re betraying us? Don’t forget who helped you rise to power! You’re being ungrateful!” she cried out shrilly.

In her moment of despair, being betrayed by someone on her side felt like a huge blow.

“We’re ungrateful?” Chad’s face twisted in spite. “When you called for us to gather together, we immediately responded. When you came to Lannopolis, we obeyed your every whim, but what did you do? If it weren’t for you, would Jaxon have lost his arms?

“If we continue to listen to you, we’ll be destroyed! You’re too arrogant, stupid, and unreasonable! We can’t serve you!”
