In a presidential suite of the most luxurious five-star hotel in Grayvale, Elijah lay on a bed with his arms wrapped around two beautiful women.

He radiated confidence and was utterly pleased with himself.

Suddenly, his phone rang. One of the ladies gently placed the phone next to his ear.

“Mr. Elijah, the arrangements have been made by Miss Amara. Grayvale’s business magnates and heads of local factions are waiting for you,” came a voice from the line.

“Let them wait,” Elijah replied nonchalantly.

He held onto the two women with a sly smile playing on his lips.

“So, this is the allure of power…”

There was a time when Elijah was just a nobody and had scraped by in the slums. Years of climbing from the very bottom had only earned him the status of a petty gang leader.

After enduring years of hardship, wealth and luxury felt intoxicating.

With just a single command, he could summon scores of subordinates. His every step was accompanied by admiration and respect.

But it was not enough. For someone with power, the craving for more was insatiable.

“By now, Dustin must be in total chaos. He’s probably overwhelmed with trouble,” he muttered with a cold smirk.

He had planned for the four families to go to Creative Arts Corporation.

Yet, Elijah did not bother keeping tabs on how things were unfolding. He was far more content savoring the pleasures at the hotel surrounded by warmth and beauty.

Whatever the outcome on Dustin’s end, it did not matter much to him.

If Dustin were pushed to the brink, it was all for the better. If he were not, it would be no big deal.

This was only a grand opening. It was a message to Dustin that Elijah was back.

The phone rang again.

It was Amara.

“Eli, everyone’s waiting for you. Don’t keep them waiting too long,” Amara said over the phone.

“It’s time for the Wyatt family to make a statement. Let them wait a bit longer. It won’t hurt,” Elijah said with a grin.

Amara frowned slightly on the other end of the phone.

Elijah seemed a bit too full of himself, but she decided not to dwell on it.

“Enough stalling. Go meet them now.”

After hanging up, Elijah sat up from the bed and signaled for the ladies to help him get dressed.

Half an hour later, he left the presidential suite and headed to the venue for the meeting.

The room was already filled with leaders from Grayvale’s various factions.
