“You’ll be alright, won’t you, Dustin?” Simone asked with some concern as she approached Dustin.

She felt that these people all got what they deserved, but she knew that Dustin’s actions would indeed come with consequences.

“You might be surprised at how things turn out,” said Dustin and smiled.

Simone was a little surprised.

The calm and unbothered way Dustin reacted confused Gavin and the others thoroughly.

“We’ll see if you’ll still be smiling when the police get here!” Gavin yelled.

“He’s only pretending to keep his cool. He must be shaking in his boots!” someone said with gritted teeth.

“Stop putting on an act! Who do you think you are? You make yourself seem like you’re so impressive!” Gavin said icily.

Dustin did not argue with him. He simply waited.

Soon, there was a commotion outside.

“They’re here!”

Gavin and the others immediately looked hopeful.

“Captain, you have to arrest this fiend and bring him to justice!” Gavin yelled.

“Of course! We will definitely act according to the law,” the captain said righteously.

He frowned as he looked at the person Gavin was pointing at.

Dustin was sitting in a chair as he looked at Gavin. His back was turned toward the police officers.

“You’re really bold! How dare you commit such a crime in broad daylight?” he asked as his face darkened.

“Don’t you know what’s waiting for you? It’s the long arm of the law!”

“Is it?” Dustin asked coldly.

The frown on the police captain’s face etched deeper.

Why was this person reacting so calmly with the authorities after beating people up?
