Antonio‘ smile faded over the word ‘husband. “What’s his name?”

Grace bit her lower lip.

“Are you really planning on taking Grace to the party? What if others find out about her background?”

Antonio lit a cigarette, replying, “If Livia can date such a low- class man, why can’t I bring a woman of lower status to the party?”

Grace could tell that he was mocking her. She froze in place, her lips trembling uncontrollably.
