Seeing me growing weaker, they called out with heartbreaking cries.

Soon, the cash Dad had ordered arrived, and the plane was waiting outside the factory.

I was pushed forward by the suspects, their eyes full of greed.

After loading the money onto the plane, the lead suspect didn't keep his promise. Instead, he prepared to take me aboard the plane too.

He said that to ensure their safety, they'd have to inconvenience the young lady.

"You're going back on your word! You said you'd leave and release my sister!"

Jake was furious, but the lead suspect just laughed.

"Yeah, but I didn't say when I'd release her. When the plane reaches the ocean, I'll naturally let her go."

"By then, you can fish her out of the sea, hahaha..."

Jake was completely enraged and tried to step forward, but the lead suspect cut him off.

"Stay put! If you don't want anything to happen to her, fine, you come with us instead."

They had planned all along that kidnapping me, the unloved daughter, was too risky.

After all, it was because the whole family disliked me that I was sent to the rehabilitation center to suffer a year of abuse.

Back then, they watched with their own eyes how my family ignored me and left me to die.

So they decided that kidnapping Jake would be safer.

Jake agreed without hesitation.

He slowly walked toward me as I was pushed forward by the suspects.

As we passed each other, Jake looked at me, his eyes full of guilt and pain.

"Little sister, I'm sorry..."

The next moment, he suddenly pushed me into Mom and Dad's arms, facing the suspect's knife himself.

"You punk, you dare to trick us? You're dead!"

The suspect raised his knife and stabbed toward him, while simultaneously a gunshot rang out from behind.

The suspect fell to the ground, but his knife still plunged into Jake's body.

He collapsed, and Dad cried out in shock as he rushed forward, only to be confronted by more than a dozen suspects with knives.

After more than a dozen gunshots, Dad also fell into a pool of blood, with several knives stuck in his body.

All the suspects were killed on the spot. Mom broke down in tears and fainted.

When I regained consciousness, I was lying in a hospital bed, wrapped in bandages and hooked up to an IV.

Mom's hair had turned completely white, making her look like she'd aged more than a decade.

She told me through tears that Jake and Dad had been stabbed in vital areas and had lost too much blood.

They didn't survive.

I closed my eyes, feeling strangely calm inside.

They deserved this. If they had given me a chance to investigate and recognize Lily's true nature from the beginning, things wouldn't have come to this point, and I wouldn't have suffered such inhuman torture.
