Caliana POV

" I'm worried, daddy, what if she dies?" Love cried, tightly holding my hand. I wanted to tell her that I'm alright and not to cry but I couldn't open my eyes or move my lips.

My mind was fully awake however and all I could think about is how to get my revenge on Candace and June for this. I shall make them pay, I will humiliate them my way. Tingles erupted on my arm and I immediately knew it was Alpha Edward touching me, I wanted to revolt against him but I didn't have any strength to do so and besides, his touch felt right.

I kept drifting in and out of consciousness until my eyes fluttered opened and adjusted to the room I was in, a hospital room, and my arms were connected to an IV tube. I sighed and my gaze lazily scanned the room

" I think she's disoriented," I recognized Marcus' voice... My hand flew to my head and I grunted in pain. I was fully awake and I saw him, the alpha. The alpha's obnoxious gaze was on me with intensity. He was angry.

" Who did this to you?" He demanded, I ignored him and he took strides towards me. He inhaled and looked at me with gentleness

"What happened, Garret found you at the border, beaten and passed out," He says gently.

" I can't remember," I said. Candace was right, he wouldn't take my side against her so I will have to deal with this myself.

" Speak the truth," He growls.

" I didn't see anyone. I was hit in the head and passed out," I lied

" You have defensive wounds on you, those claw marks and you have a busted lip," Marcus said, I sense concern in his voice which caught me off, guard.

" You fought your attacker, really well actually if you're still breathing,"

I closed my eyes for a moment.

" Well, maybe they did this after they knocked me out," I shrug my shoulder and the pain made me wince.

" And we are supposed to believe that?" Alpha Edward said. He was getting frustrated.

" I'm your alpha and I demand you tell me," He roared and I looked him in his eyes

" And I'm the Luna, I'm telling you what I know," I retorted back. He tilted his head in surprise and Marcus smirked.

Marcus' eyes glazed over and he left the room, patting his brother's shoulder.

" Look, Meyers, tell me the truth. Who hurt you?"

" Will you kill them?" I asked, mirroring his expression.

" Do you want them dead?" He asked.

" You wouldn't do that,"

" I can't if you don't mention names,"

" Forget it, Alpha,"

He was in front of me in flash, he grabbed my cheeks with his fingers and cocked my head up so I'm looking directly into his gaze.
