Chapter 1237: Light and Easy

Both of them were not surprised. After all, with such a big incident, it wouldn't be appropriate for Alicia, the party involved, to continue hiding.

Camille and Sienna exchanged glances, and Sienna asked in a low voice, "Should I accompany you?"

"No need. This is our territory. Should I be afraid of her?" Camille shook her head and declined.

Sienna didn't insist and simply said, "Call me if you need anything."

"Okay."

Yessica escorted Alicia to the conference room. Due to limited space in the company, they had to use the large conference room to accommodate everyone. They couldn't just leave Alicia waiting in the office lobby.

Camille handed her bag to Yessica and walked directly towards the conference room.

Sienna didn't idle either. She followed Yessica to Camille's office, which had surveillance cameras, allowing them to see what was happening in the conference room.

Yessica whispered, "Sienna, do you think we might get fired for this?"

Sienna replied, "We're doing this for her own good. What would we do if she continued to be bullied?"

Sienna's reasoning was reasonable, and even Yessica was convinced.

However, the truth was that they simply wanted to know what those two were talking about in the conference room.

Camille entered the conference room, and Alicia, who heard the commotion, immediately stood up and looked towards her. Camille didn't close the door and walked directly to the seat opposite Alicia.

Her gaze was indifferent as she calmly observed Alicia. The Alicia sitting there now was no longer the arrogant and domineering person from the hotel corridor the previous night.

Camille knew very well that Alicia must have had a difficult time these past few days.

But it had nothing to do with anyone else. Everything was caused by her own mouth.

Seeing Camille sitting silently without saying a word, Alicia's face stiffened slightly. However, she knew the purpose of her visit today, and she couldn't deviate from it.

Alicia didn't sit down; she just stared at Camille without blinking, her lips slightly pursed, seemingly unsure how to start.

Thus, the atmosphere remained quiet like this. If they didn't know that both of them could speak, they might have thought they were mute.

Camille lowered her gaze slightly, her expression exceptionally cold, but her eyes never left Alicia. However, after two or three seconds of eye contact, Alicia was the first to withdraw her gaze and look elsewhere.

Alicia's evasive behavior amused Camille, but there was no trace of amusement in her eyes. She spoke indifferently, "Miss Nores, did you come here to be praised for being so silent? If that's the case, I have seen it now. If Miss Nores has nothing else, you may leave. I have work to do, and I won't keep you any longer."

Even though there was an unpleasant incident, and even though Camille's words weren't pleasant to hear, she maintained a basic sense of calm. She didn't create a tense atmosphere but treated Alicia with a normal tone and attitude.

Camille furrowed her brow slightly. She found Alicia's words somewhat ridiculous and let out a cold laugh before asking, "Miss Nores, do you even know what you're saying? You think this is just a matter of words to me? But let me ask you, why should I help you? Do you have anything worth my assistance? Even if it were just a single glance from me, I wouldn't want to help you. Do you understand what I mean? I've said it before, I accept your apology, but I won't forgive you. Don't think that speaking has no consequences."

After Camille finished speaking, she didn't want to waste any more time with Alicia. She spoke dismissively and left the meeting room, casting one last cold gaze at Alicia.

As Camille exited the room, Yessica and Sienna also came out of their offices. Camille said to Yessica, "Accompany Miss Nores out."

Yessica nodded quickly and went to the meeting room to find Alicia. Sienna followed Camille back to the office. Camille poured herself a glass of water and took a sip before saying, "Alicia is truly spoiled. You saw it too; she actually said it was just a matter of words for me. It's quite laughable, really."

The more Camille thought about it, the angrier she became. It seemed she couldn't afford to have even the slightest bit of softness in her heart. Any trace of softness would only lead to regret.

Sienna asked, "What are you planning to do now?"

"I won't do anything. I'll just inform Ayan that she apologized to me. Will Ayan ask me to forgive her? I've already said that I accept her apology, but I will never forgive her. If I forgive her so easily, won't she do the same to me again next time?"

"You're right. Don't forgive her. Why should you? Who does she think she is?"

"Yes, you're right." Camille locked eyes with Sienna. Following Sienna's advice, Camille told Ayan the same thing. Ayan asked the same question.

Camille responded just as she had told Alicia. She could accept the apology but would not forgive her. As for whether to immediately resume the project, that was Ayan's decision.

Sensing Camille's indifference in her words, Ayan asked, "Was her attitude during the apology not good? Shouldn't we have her apologize publicly?"
