Chapter 1555: Blind Date

Camille instinctively lifted her gaze and met Jordan's eyes. She gave a faint smile and whispered, "No, I was just thinking, does Mrs. Bailey really understand you? She seems worried that you won't actually go on the blind date, so she keeps emphasizing to me the need to supervise you and ensure a successful match. But based on your reaction, it seems like you're not opposed to it and maybe even willing. So, I'm wondering if Mrs. Bailey got it wrong?"

Camille's words caught Jordan off guard for a moment, and then he smiled. "I just don't want you to feel burdened, and I don't want you to have any trouble with Mrs. Bailey. If you put it that way, I might actually tell Mrs. Bailey that I don't have time for a blind date."

Camille was now at a loss for how to handle this situation.

Seeing her dilemma, Jordan said, "Don't worry, my blind date is tomorrow. Take your time to think it over and let me know."

Camille breathed a sigh of relief, her voice sounding particularly relaxed. After that, they didn't engage in further conversation until they reached the hotel entrance. The driver parked the car and took out the luggage, and the hotel butler came forward to greet them.

Camille's reserved room was on a different floor from Jordan's, but they were in the same building. Camille naturally had the lower floor.

However, she was surprised to find that Jordan had also not booked a suite. She thought that as the eldest son of the Bailey family, he would choose a suite.

The elevator arrived at Camille's floor first, and she bid farewell to Jordan. "Mr. Bailey, I'll go to my room first."

Jordan nodded lightly. "Hmm, if you need anything, you can message me or call. If it's inconvenient to talk to me, you can tell Mrs. Bailey."

Jordan made it clear that Camille didn't need to feel obligated or uncomfortable.

No one knew that Camille had come to Dane City on a business trip, and even the bodyguards had no idea that she had left Hance City.

Camille returned to her room, briefly tidied up her luggage, and then sent messages to Sophia and Dan.

Dan and Sophia were now collaborating, so they saw each other every day, and their relationship was flourishing.

This was undoubtedly Camille's doing.

However, they hadn't completely revealed their relationship, so they maintained an ambiguous connection.

Camille sat in the room, feeling quite bored. But sitting alone on the couch, looking at the view outside the window, this carefully crafted atmosphere weighed heavily on her heart.

She had no plans to have lunch and intended to take a nap later, then have dinner with Sophia.

But Camille's plan was just a plan. In reality, Mrs. Bailey called her around twelve-thirty.

Mrs. Bailey called her through Facebook, and Camille couldn't help but wonder if it was about Jordan's blind date.

Camille looked at the caller's name and didn't know whether to answer or not.

She sighed helplessly and answered, "Mrs. Bailey, what's the matter?"

"Cami, are you busy?"

Although it would be better to have the cake in the evening, Mrs. Bailey had already made the reservation and it had been delivered to the hotel entrance, so it was appropriate to bring it now. She might not have time in the evening either.

Camille received the cake from the delivery person and then took the elevator upstairs following the room number Mrs. Bailey had given her.

Camille arrived at the door of the room on the thirtieth floor where Jordan was staying. She took a deep breath and then pressed the doorbell.

The door opened in just a few seconds. In the next moment, Camille raised the cake in her hand and exclaimed to Jordan, "Happy birthday!"

Jordan was stunned. He had changed into casual home clothes and looked even more gentle. He stared at Camille standing in front of him and the cake in her hand without taking his eyes off them.

Seeing that he didn't react, Camille couldn't help but speak, "Can I come in? Is it convenient?"

After Camille finished speaking, Jordan immediately snapped out of his daze and made way for her, saying, "Please come in if it's convenient!"

Only then did Camille step into the room, holding the cake. Jordan was still in a state of surprise and followed Camille inside.

The door closed behind them, and they didn't notice the hidden camera capturing this scene from a corner.

Inside the room, Camille asked Jordan while holding the cake, "Where should I put the cake?"
