Because Ayan has been busy lately, the two of them have rarely had breakfast together, and they also find it difficult to have dinner together since they both have dinner engagements at night.
Today, it was a rare occasion to have breakfast together, and Camille was naturally very happy about it.
She enjoys having Ayan serve her when she is happy, like handing her chopsticks, passing her a spoon, or even peeling an egg for her.
She is delighted to watch Ayan take care of her. As long as she sees Ayan doing things, she feels happy, and a smile that she cannot hide appears on her face.
After Ayan finishes, she can't help but ask, "You're not upset, are you?"
Ayan earnestly asks back, "Would I dare?"
"Well, that's true," Camille laughs, "If I were to make the surveillance from home public, it should be enough for me to start a gossip company centered around you, right?"
"Are you too idle recently, planning to start a side business?"
"Yes, I have that plan, so do you want to support me?"
"Since you're so free, why not organize the interior design plans for the Qidong project?" The Qidong project is a collaboration between the Jiang family and Simpson Group, as well as King Group Armstrong Corp. The project, known as the Qidong project, is based in the eastern part of Hance City due to the land location.
Camille was immediately stunned, with a look of surprise on her face and a hint of disbelief in her eyes.
She stared at Ayan, her voice slightly hesitant as she asked, "Have you already decided to give this project to our company? Shouldn't you discuss this with the Jiang family and Mario?"
Ayan showed no sign of concealment, simply stating, "It's not set in stone yet, there's still time, and you'll have enough time to prepare properly. By following the proper procedures, it won't be just my decision, and no one will accuse me of favoritism."
"So, are you trying to give me a backdoor? Do I need to bribe you with gifts?"
She pretended to be clueless.
Ayan took her seriously and responded, "Do you want to bribe me? That's possible, but if you want to bribe me, you don't need to give gifts. I don't like gifts."
"What do you like? Should I buy you clothes or take you out to dinner?"
"Do you not know what I like?" His words trailed off, his deep black eyes hinting heavily at something. His gaze made Camille feel uncomfortable, as if he could see right through her.
Camille pursed her lips, blinked involuntarily, and immediately looked away. She coughed lightly, pretending to be calm, and said, "Say something healthy in the early morning; let's not talk about these unclean things."
Camille drank a few mouthfuls of porridge after speaking. She hadn't looked at Ayan again, but she could still feel his intense gaze on her.
Feeling uncomfortable, Camille sat as stiff as a needle. Some of the things he asked for were difficult to bring up, and even though they were very intimate, she felt somewhat shy.
But Ayan persisted in bringing it up whenever he had the chance, making Camille wonder if he had a special obsession with this matter.
She couldn't dwell on it; she didn't know what other thoughts might come to her mind.
"Well, not exactly. If Kian found out, he'd scold me, right?" Yessica knew that work couldn't be neglected, as she was responsible for her position. She had understood this even before getting together with Kian.
Camille just smiled and said, "Communication is the key; there's nothing you can't discuss openly with each other."
"Okay, you're right. You're experienced, so I need to learn from you. So, in case of a conflict, we should communicate well, right? Only when misunderstandings are cleared up, there won't be any conflicts?"
"Of course!"
"Okay, that's good!"
Yessica asked, and Camille answered, leading Yessica to nod in agreement. This back-and-forth ultimately left Camille looking at Yessica with a slightly ambiguous expression.
She asked, "Why do I feel like you're saying these things on purpose for my benefit?"
"Really?" Yessica played dumb, saying, "Cami, you're overthinking. I'm just reminding myself. I told you, I want to learn from you."
After all, Kian had instructed her early on to always pay attention to Camille's mood and to observe if she interacted with certain people with a specific purpose in mind. So, she had to carry out the tasks assigned by Kian properly, all for the betterment of Camille and Ayan's relationship. She agreed without hesitation.
So, all these words were said for a reason, both as a way to remind Camille and to suggest a solution to any potential conflict or unpleasantness.
Of course, Camille was unaware of her intentions, only noting that Yessica was acting strangely today.
