Chapter 1361 Mockery

Camille stared at Ayan seriously, a faint smile unconsciously appearing on her lips.

Her tone made Ayan unable to tell if she was upset or not?

But she continued to gaze at him, her expression devoid of much emotion or displeasure.

Thinking about what had just happened, Ayan also felt a bit worried. He casually asked, "Are you mocking me now?"

"How could I? I was just thinking, is your charm even greater than I imagined? Otherwise, why would girls like Daisy be so infatuated with you?" Camille replied.

"So you want to hold on to me tightly, not give anyone a chance to look down on me, right?" he squinted at Camille, as if urging her to nod in agreement.

But Camille did not respond as he had expected. She just smiled and said, "I actually feel quite pressured by this. If there are more competitors like Daisy, I might feel very tired. Their abilities and backgrounds are too strong, which really is quite troublesome."

Camille shook her head, looking a bit tired, causing Ayan's face to immediately darken.

Ayan said indifferently, "Are you saying that if there is too much competition, you plan on letting me go?"

"I didn't say that!" Camille pursed her lips, eyes twinkling mischievously.

Naturally, he was displeased, his voice becoming exceptionally cold, "If you dare, I will never let you off."

"Is Mr. Simpson threatening me?" Camille laughed, taking Ayan's arm and saying, "If the competition is too strong, and I feel powerless, what can I do? So, the final decision is in your hands. As long as you hold your ground, then I will always be the winner, right?"

Actually, Camille would never fight for something that was truly hers. If something doesn't belong to her, then it will never be hers in this lifetime.

Camille pursed her lips and looked at Ayan, who remained silent with a serious expression. She found it quite amusing.

She gently tugged Ayan and asked, "By treating Daisy this way, aren't you afraid that she will tell Mr. Tillery about the project and ruin everything?"

"Mr. Tillery himself proposed the collaboration. Since he initiated it, he must be serious about working with Simpson Group. If he just wants Daisy to cozy up to Simpson Group, there's no need," Ayan hmphed, his expression cold and detached.

It was clear he was very displeased.

Camille nodded slightly but still seemed worried, "So, will it not affect the project going forward?"

"I don't know. We'll find out tomorrow. If everything remains calm, it means Daisy didn't tell anyone about what happened in the office."

"Do you think she will?"

"What do you think?" Ayan smiled.

Camille blinked subconsciously, her reaction a bit dazed. Nearly half a minute later, she finally responded, "Since you show no fear, I have nothing to worry about. Let's talk about what happened when I went to the hospital to have dinner with Grandpa today!"

Ayan turned to face Camille, his gaze gentle. "What happened?"

After speaking with Camille, he personally called Dr. Ellis to update him on Grandpa's situation. Dr. Ellis agreed, leaving Ayan feeling reassured.

Camille went straight back to the company after leaving Simpson Group.

She didn't ask Ayan to arrange a driver, nor did she contact Sienna. Instead, she took a taxi back to the company.

After the last incident, she made sure to inform Yessica of the license plate number and exact time when she took the taxi.

She didn't want to trouble anyone, but she also didn't want to neglect her safety.

Upon her return to the company, Yessica asked with concern, "Cami, why didn't you come back with Sienna?"

"Hasn't she returned yet?"

"No, not yet."

"We had a race, like the tortoise and the hare. I'm the hare, and I won," Camille joked lightly.

Yessica was puzzled, unable to decipher the meaning, thinking they must be playing a new game.

Camille entered her office, sat down while drinking water, and as soon as she took her seat, her phone rang suddenly.
