But Camille had no intention of continuing to watch them digest her words. After she finished speaking, she stood up from her chair. She looked down at everyone and then indifferently said, "I've said all I wanted to. Now it's time for everyone to think. If anyone wants to leave Armstrong Corp, I won't stop them. If you want to stay, of course, you're welcome. Since everyone is here in the company today, let's give it an hour. We'll take turns coming to my office for a private chat. I also have some things I want to discuss with each of you individually, about the betrayal within our company."

Camille didn't want to say much about the betrayal, but her words were enough to cause a great disturbance and commotion among everyone.

Once Camille left the meeting room, the atmosphere inside the room became chaotic.

The most talkative and meddlesome individuals remained silent.

Those without strong opinions were worried, "What's going on? What does she mean by this? Is she planning to kick us out?"

"Is there something beneficial to Armstrong Corp? So, she wants to keep it all to herself?"

"And what does she mean by 'betrayal'? Is she suspecting one of us?"

The more they discussed, the more tense the atmosphere became. Only those who usually had a lot to say and loved to show off remained silent with extremely unpleasant expressions.

The tension lasted for about five minutes when Horace's secretary knocked on the meeting room door. He said, "Everyone, Mrs. Simpson is ready. Who wants to go first?"

Camille was quick and her decision could not be changed.

Upon hearing the secretary's reminder, everyone's expressions became even more grim. Some were so worried, they didn't dare say another word and just hoped that someone else would speak up first.

Horace's secretary stood waiting at the door for a while but did not receive any response. He naturally felt no need to rush since Camille had said that they needed time to accept the situation. He just stood there, constantly reminding them without offering any urgent prompting.

In the office, Camille sat in front of Horace's desk, where the coffee was still steaming. Camille stared at the coffee absentmindedly. Kian interrupted softly, "Madam, do you think they will cooperate?"

Camille lifted her gaze to look at Kian, her tone devoid of any emotion, so it was impossible to tell whether she was pleased or not. She simply said, "It's up to them. If they don't cooperate, that's fine too. It will save me from dealing with them. If they are willing to cooperate, I will be pleased."

Camille said she would be pleased, but there was no visible excitement on her face, only a polite indifference.

Kian didn't ask any further and simply nodded in understanding.

Camille continued to gaze at the coffee for a while. She looked at her watch and then sat up straight, "Ten minutes. It seems they are more hesitant than I imagined!"

She wasn't a monster, so why were they so nervous?

Camille found it somewhat amusing.

Kian responded in a low voice, "Madam, if they don't cooperate, we should just announce a massive clean-up within Armstrong Corp!"

Camille blinked and a faint smile appeared on her lips. "Wouldn't that be too direct? Wouldn't it be better to leave them with a bit of dignity?"
