Chapter 117 What Is There Left To Explain?

Rosalie, who was paralyzed in fear, was trembling unconsciously as she instinctively burrowed into his arms.

Noticing her trembling, his heart softened as he said gently, “Why come in if you‘re so scared?

Rosalie could not react for a while when she heard the familiar voice.

Byron sighed helplessly. “Let‘s get you out of here.”

Rosalie slowly recovered, only to feel that the voice in her ears was very familiar. The smell that lingered around her made her heart sink.

‘Byron Lawrence? No, how could he be here…!

Rosalie raised her eyes in suspense and met the man‘s genuinely concerned eyes.

Looking at each other, Rosalie froze again. The panic she experienced earlier completely evaporated as she broke free from the man‘s arms with a blank expression.

Byron was deeply aware of her resistance, and the soft emotions in his heart slowly faded away, allowing her to retreat from his arms.

“Why are you here?” Rosalie looked at the person in front of her with vigilance and estrangement. Byron gathered himself and replied coolly, “I‘m looking for you.”

Hearing this, Rosalie was annoyed.

“I want to do things with a clear conscience, and I‘ll gladly be accountable for my own actions. But I didn‘t do this, and I have no reason to take the blame for others. I admit that when I knew that Lucian and Nox were attending the same school as Estie, I did tell the principal that he should expel them.

However, Estie threw such a huge fit that day, so I’d never do it again. The boys‘ dismissal was under Wendy‘s instigation. She sent Estie to school in the morning and saw that the boys going to the same school. She then made the principal of the kindergarten dismiss them without authorization. I only found out about it after you came looking for me.”

In the end, he still insisted it was Wendy‘s idea.

Rosalie got angrier and spat out the words sarcastically, “So, what difference does it make? First, you made a request, then Wendy Fuller, who‘s your future wife, made the same request to the principal. Do you think the principal wouldn‘t take you into account over this dismissal? In the end, this is all still your fault!”

Byron was irritated as the woman in front of him kept lumping their names together. “She is her, I am me. Why do you have to mix things up? I have no reason to take action against Lucian and Nox. Last night, I also warned the principal that Lucian and Nox could go back to kindergarten at any time.”
