Chapter 484 Mommy Is Not That Powerful
It was already very late when Rosalie got home, but Lucian and Nox were still awake. The moment they heard footsteps coming upstairs, they carefully opened the bedroom door and peeked their heads out.
Rosalie could not help but think of the children in the orphanage when she saw her boys. Her heart felt a little heavy.
Seeing Rosalie’s expression, the little ones ran over with concern. ” Mommy, what’s the matter? Did the free clinic today not go well?”
Rosalie smiled at the boys reluctantly and took them back to the room.
The boys sat beside Rosalie one after another while staring at Rosalie eagerly. “Mommy, how are the children at the orphanage?”
Rosalie shook her head bitterly. “The children there don’t have parents. Some of the children were even abandoned by their parents because of their illnesses, but they’re still very sensible.”
Rosalie’s mind was filled with images of the children lying down on her hospital bed as she spoke, along with those who were sent to the hospital because they were not able to do anything.
The children had even thanked them obediently after learning about their situation…
Hearing their mommy’s words, the boys looked at each other with serious expressions on their faces before cautiously asking, “Are the children really ill?”
Rosalie nodded slightly. “Some of the children were abandoned at orphanages because their parents were incapable of treating them.” “Mommy, can’t you do anything?” Nox looked at Rosalie innocently.
In his heart, his mommy was the most powerful doctor in the world and there were no diseases that she could not cure.
Rosalie patted the little boy’s head helplessly and explained to him, “I’m sorry, baby. Mommy is not as powerful as you think. There are many illnesses that even I have no solutions to.”
Nox tilted his head and asked carefully, “Then, are the people at the orphanage treating them well? Do they give them food to eat? Is their living space good?”
Rosalie knew that the boys were distressed for those children. She smiled to reassure them. “The people at the orphanage are very kind to them, and this afternoon, Uncle Andy also donated a batch of supplies to the orphanage, so their quality of life will also improve. If you guys are still worried, I can take you to see them in the future.”
Hearing this, the boys’ eyes brightened, “Really? Can we really see them?”
Rosalie smiled and nodded.
“Then, we’re going to bring them a lot of delicious food and fun toys!” The boys looked serious.
Seeing that they were so caring, Rosalie felt thankful for a moment.
