Chapter 518 The Last Scene

“Daddy!”

Seeing her daddy come in, Estie hurriedly ran to Byron’s side while pointing to the untouched food on the dinner table. “You’re finally here. We’re so hungry!”

Byron followed the little girl’s line of sight and saw Lucian and Nox, who were still sitting at the dining table. They held their chins and looked at him eagerly. There seemed to be a look of accusation in their eyes.

There were five sets of plates and cutleries on the table, none of which had been moved.

Obviously, all of them were waiting for him to eat together.

Realizing this, Byron looked back at Rosalie who had walked behind him.

Seeing the man’s gaze, Rosalie was stunned for a moment, then she explained nonchalantly, “Estie said that she wanted to wait for you.”

Byron raised his brows slightly and looked down at the little one beside him.

Estie nodded obediently with a small smile on her face as if she was asking for credit.

Seeing this, Byron raised his hand and touched Estie’s head. She said to Rosalie and the two boys, “I’m so sorry that I made all of you wait for so long. I didn’t know you were waiting for me.”

Rosalie pursed her lips. “It’s okay. Now that you’re here, let’s eat quickly. We’ll have to rehearse when we’re done.”

Byron nodded slightly, went in, and washed his hands. He then sat down opposite Rosalie.

After dinner, everyone started rehearsing again.

After several rehearsals, Rosalie knew that Byron could not be trained at all in acting, so she could only go with the flow.

The three kids acted much better than she expected. Rosalie thought that the little ones would not be able to recite their lines smoothly. She did not expect that they not only spoke fluently but also had decent expressions.

At the end of the rehearsal, Estie tilted her head in confusion as she stared at the two adults.

She did not expect to be called out by the little girl.

Rosalie could not think of an explanation, so she raised her eyes and asked Byron for help.

The man’s face was a little strange.

When he met her gaze, his expression became cold again, what he said also made Rosalie shudder.
