After Jerry's desires were fulfilled by Charlotte, Jerry suddenly remembered something and rubbed his eyebrows in annoyance.

He pulled open the bedside drawer and rummaged through it. After finding an unopened box of medicine, he took out a pill and leaned over, gently patting Charlotte's cheek. “Babe, take your medicine.”

Charlotte frowned at the noise and swatted Jerry's hand away before pulling the blanket over herself.

Jerry held the medicine in his mouth and took a sip of water. He pinched Charlotte's chin, intending to feed her the medicine with his mouth. But in the instant their lips met, he hesitated for some unknown reason.

He pressed against her soft lips, making no further moves.

“Your birthday is in a few days,” she continued as she looked up at Jerry. “Do you think it will snow on your birthday?”

“Well, I have to ask then,” said Jerry. He made a gesture by his ear, as if he was calling someone on the phone, and asked earnestly, “Is this the weather station? Can you tell me if it's going to snow on the 29th? My girlfriend wants to see snow.”

Charlotte couldn't help but laugh at his antics. “The company will throw you a birthday party when the time comes.”

Jerry responded with a hum, clearly not very excited.

Previously, when Charlotte met Leila, she saw sorrow filling the latter's eyes and face. However, Leila was full of vitality now, as if she had become a completely different person.
