Upon hearing this, Charlotte knew that Jerry was serious, which instantly infuriated her.

That day, she braved the terrible weather to return to Jadeborough, all for the sake of celebrating Jerry's birthday. She even went to retrieve the ring. But who would have known that Jessica quarreled with Henry while the children were present?

Joash was terrified by Charlotte's furious words over the phone.

He had been by Jerry's side for a long time. During that period, Jerry and Charlotte had a happy and harmonious relationship with no conflicts, nor did they give each other silent treatments.

It seemed that their relationship began to change a few months ago.

Jerry became increasingly concerned about the men appearing by Charlotte's side. He couldn't bear her entanglement with her ex-boyfriend. It seemed as if this was why the two were constantly arguing and giving each other the cold shoulder.

However, not even a minute after Jessica left, Charlotte put on her coat and left the ward. She followed Mary over to the pediatrics department. Seeing the child's feverish, flushed face, the doctor quickly prepared the medicine and injected her with it.

Sasha talked gibberish during her high fever, pleading with her mom and dad to stop fighting. It was clear how much the events of that night had traumatized her.

Half an hour after the doctor gave Sasha the injection, her high fever gradually subsided.

Charlotte pressed her pale lips together, “Of course, I won't let him off the hook. But that mistress' mother stole Jess' jewelry. I have to get it back. She's not allowed to take anything that belongs to my sister!”
