Chapter 986 Provocation Was Written All Over Her Face

At half past ten, a luxurious car slowly drove into the castle.

The instant Anne spotted the luxurious car, she was over the moon. She went to the parking lot and watched as the driver opened the car door, upon which a blond woman alighted from the car.

“Ms. Evangeline.” She bowed at the woman.

The driver held an umbrella over the woman's head to shield her from the sunlight. Meanwhile, the woman whipped off her sunglasses. Her emerald green eyes were exceedingly beautiful, but they were stained with intense displeasure.

She was born into a mafia family, so she had an innate aura of oppression. “You're the housekeeper, yet you're pushed around by such trash?”

Hanging her head, Anne explained in a whisper, “Mr. Osborn likes her a lot and allows her to do as she pleases. He even ordered us to obey her.”

Evangeline lifted her head and stared at the huge and magnificent castle. “He's been staying here all this time?”

“Yes,” Anne replied.

Sneering, Evangeline strode toward the castle on her high heels with a forbidding air emanating off her. In the house, the housemaids had long since lined up in a row. They all lowered their heads and greeted the woman.

Evangeline sat down on the couch and ordered icily, “Bring her down to me!”

In the past, even while Zephyr had been playing the field, he showed me some regard in the least. Every once in a while, he would take me out for a meal or shopping. But now, he can't even be bothered to answer my calls. On top of that, it was Alston's birthday yesterday, but he didn't bring me with him!

In the room, Johanna was cutting expensive fabrics to make a shirt. When Anne came to seek her out and said that Evangeline was there, she sneered inwardly.

She deliberately wore a sleeveless long dress to bare the hickeys on her and acted all coquettish while phoning Zephyr—that was all an act for Anne to see.

She went to the walk-in closet and changed into a dress that looked costly before putting on some jewelry. Then, she went downstairs unhurriedly.

Therefore, she didn't want to be punished by the man.

“Don't call him! I'm his fiancée! Are you still afraid that I can't protect you?” Evangeline snapped her head back and bellowed at Anne.

That's true. Johanna is merely a pet. Contrarily, Evangeline is a member of the Sheraton family and Zephyr's fiancée. How could he possibly be mad at her?

Upon hearing that, Johanna flashed Evangeline a taunting smile and scoffed, “So what if you're his fiancée? He's been staying here with me all this while, and he even said he'd still be with me in the future. In his own words, I'm his most docile and beloved Kitty.”

Noticing that the woman's lips were trembling with fury, as though she was on the brink of exploding, Johanna got up from the ground.

She strolled over to Evangeline and added with a snicker, “He never takes precautions to prevent a pregnancy with me. You can ask the housemaids if you don't believe me. Say, will you two still be able to get married if I were to fall pregnant?”

Provocation was written all over her face.
