"You have two options. One, open the door yourself, or two, I'll break in."

Willow panicked when she heard Jasper's cold voice over the phone.

It was as if he could read her mind.

His voice made Willow feel even more terrified.

She sprang out of bed. "Wait. I'll open the door."

Willow quickly made her way to the door. With trembling hands, she finally opened the door.

Jasper towered over her. There was a cold expression on his face.

Willow changed from passive to active. "Mr. Hughes, let's talk outside," she said as soon as she opened the door.

Before she even took a step, Jasper grabbed her by the wrist. He was much stronger than her, and he gave her no fighting chance.

Jasper led her into the house.

Willow held her breath. Her heart raced.

What was Jasper doing at her place at this hour?

In the blink of an eye, she saw him walking toward her room. Willow's heart rate increased. She quickly held him back. "Mr. Hughes, let me pour you some tea…"

She prayed he would not go into her room.

Jasper glanced at her.

"I'm not thirsty!" He yelled.

His lips brushed past her face. It felt as if a jolt of electricity had passed through her. Willow's chest felt even more tense.

"Mr. Hughes, I haven't recovered. I can't…" She said nervously.

She still had gauze wrapped around her head, and she had not fully healed from her injuries. Besides, she was still having concussions.

Earlier, she was wary of Jasper coming in because he might discover that her children once lived in this room.

Just like before, she thought she had cleaned everything up and not left any traces of her children behind. Little did she know, she left a pacifier in a crevice on the couch. Jasper nearly discovered it.

Willow nearly had a heart attack that day. Fortunately, the danger was averted in the end.

Although her children were not at home this time, and she had also cleaned up her room as well as the rest of the house, she was still worried she might have left something out. Jasper might very well have noticed traces of her children who once lived here.

He was smart. If he noticed any traces of them at all, he would definitely piece the puzzle together and figure out that she was hiding her children from him.
