Chapter 1069

Armand did not give a direct answer, but it gave everyone the idea that he was interested in Eurydice.

Looks like the rumors aren't fake. There's indeed something going on between them.

Genevieve's face fell. She bit her lip and glared at Armand across the wooden table before lowering her head to eat her food, poking at them furiously to vent her anger.

The meal lasted until nine at night, and Armand sent everyone back to their accommodation.

The accommodation for the team building this time was booked after Genevieve had asked everyone for their opinion. It was a mansion in the natural hot spring area. The scenery was gorgeous.

After arriving at the mansion, Macy assigned everyone to their rooms before grabbing her swimsuit and heading off to the hot spring with the others.

Genevieve, who was still sulking, told them she was unwell and stayed back.

When everyone was gone, Genevieve took out her makeup remover and began cleaning her face. Just then, the doorbell rang. Genevieve had no choice but to open the door with the makeup remover still plastered on her face. The moment she saw who the person was, she hurriedly closed the door.

Alas, Armand was faster, and he caught hold of the handle. However, he did not use much force for fear of making Genevieve fall.

Glaring at him through the gap, Genevieve sneered, “Mr. Faulkner, shouldn't you be calling Ms. Gaudette now to ask her how she is?”

“I'm not close to her. I don't even have her number.” When Genevieve was distracted, Armand seized the opportunity and slipped past the door, shutting it immediately.

Genevieve fumed, “Oh, is that so? You two seem quite close, though! They asked if you were dating Eurydice, and you didn't deny it. You even complimented her for being pretty. Fine! She's the prettiest!”

Noting her brows were knitted together in fury, Armand murmured, “What you're feeling now is exactly what I felt this morning when I saw your picture with that man. I just wanted to annoy you because you made a mistake.”

As Genevieve was indulging at the moment, she suddenly recalled her conversation with Charlotte and chuckled.

Puzzled, Armand gave her a final kiss before asking, “What are you laughing at?”

“It's nothing.” Genevieve tilted her head and bit his neck gently. “Be quick. Let's go downstairs and talk after we take our shower. I don't feel safe in the room.”

“Do you know you shouldn't tell a man to be quick?” Armand narrowed his eyes at her.

Genevieve arched a brow and countered, “Should I do it, then?”

Her words had succeeded in provoking Armand. In the end, he made love to her so intensely at the basin that she was out of breath and her eyes bloodshot at the end of it.
